Timp
I'm having problems with the installer and I'm pretty sure it's my fault. By default, where should the "destination folder" for the installation be. My default is coming up as "C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2007," and I've never made an MVP Baseball 2007 folder before. If I click OK to this it says that the install was unsuccessful. If I download to my "C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005" folder, it goes through the installation in less than a minute (is that normal?) and says its complete. But, then, when I go into the game, the new bases don't show up. So, I'm not sure where to go. Edit: if I install to "C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005" it actually says that install was unsuccessful, also. I think why this is happening is because my folders are a mess. I can show you a picture of the folders because I don't recall them being so messed up.

The destination folder is the folder in which MVP runs, so it'll probably be C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005 for you. Also, about the installer, I don't think it's your fault, assuming that you installed it to C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005 This morning, I was testing out my installer, and think I got some errors too. I think it may have to do with the new fenway stadiums in mvp07, not sure though. And if you have screenshots of any part of the installation (like where the error was, or whatever, please post them. I'll be working on a fix.) And also, did you install this over a clean copy of MVP 07, or did you install other mods prior to this? Thanks. I'll try to get a fix as soon as I can. compmaniac
I would appreciate it either of you told me how to make dirt via photshop... I don't know how (boricuapapi1885 gave me permission to use his dirty base mod as a template), but on the first page of this thread, kennyess said to use a good "brush" or something. I installed the high res grass and dirt mod before this. Yes, I installed it to "C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005" and it didn't work, but I still think it may be my fault. Heres a picture of my EA folder. As you should be able to see, there are two MVP Baseball 2007 folders and I don't remember making either one of them. compmaniac
Oh, I see. You can delete the two MVP 2007 folders. And in the installer, when it asks you for the folder to install to, choose C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005 And then, it'll show up in the under "Destination Folder" Make sure it ONLY says C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005, and not C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005MVP Baseball 2007. Sorry! By the way, even after doing this, I think the installer will crash when it's about to finish, because of some problem that I just found with the fenway stadiums. compmaniac
Here's what it says after I try to install to the "C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005" folder: Sorry, one last thing I forgot to tell you. Timp
Sorry, one last thing I forgot to tell you. Delete the temp, tools, and texture folders inside the MVP Baseball 2005 folder, as well as deleting the two MVP Baseball 2007 folders. OK, so after deleting all that stuff, I still got an error. On this screen shot I think it says it had a problem with Coors Field, but the one before said there was an error with Dodger Field. Edit: Hold On, I don't think that was an error in my pic.....Edit 2: Yes, it is hahaa I'm stupid Last Edit: Where is says the directory Coorsday (or something like that) can't be created, it's a different stadium every time for me. compmaniac
Do you have any folders in your MVP Baseball 2005 folder that are called temp, textures, or tools? Sorry for all these errors. I actually don't recommend you to keep trying until I get a fix out. (And also, I'm reinstalling MVP 07 on my end to what the problem is.) compmaniac
Yes, I have all 3 of those Edit: OK, thanks Make sure you delete all of those 3 folders. That is the problem. But even after you delete them, and install, I'm almost guaranteeing that the installer will just close without saying "Press any key to continue..." after about 20~30 minutes. You can try, but I'm pretty sure it won't work.
compmaniac
OK, I have a better solution. If you have MVP 07 installed, before installing my mod, make SURE that you install Big O's Fenway Parks instead, and then use my mod. Big O's Fenway Parks can be found here: http://mvpmods.com/Downloads/details/id=2000.html
southside_hitmen
OK, first crack at tracking down some stuff for other teams. Script logo Sox logo Alternate maybe with a silver background? I'll keep looking

southside_hitmen
To kind of give you an idea of how they are set-up, here are the Yankee logos. It looks like they have the main script in the middle and then the alternate logo on the left. It is a good way to get the teams alternate logos into the game, and I think it looks pretty sharp. Script (Split so it fits on one line IRL) Team Alternate So you end up with something like this:

compmaniac
Thanks for the sites, especially www.sportslogos.net/sport.php?s=2 I'll be working on it. I just hope lots of people download the new update so I didn't waste time for nothing.
pistonj92
no, with individual logos it will be a terrific mod.
compmaniac
Are the home plates in baseball team-personalized, or are they all the same? Are there any updates needed for home plate? Sorry, I don't know that much about baseball. And the individual logos will take a long time, but I'll be working on it, to thanks mvpmods.com for all the great mods here. compmaniac
Does anybody know of a website where there's a list of teams with their full names and their abbreviations? (ex. New York Yankees = NYY) Also, southside_hitmen, where did you find the image of the base with the NYY logo and script on it? Do you know where I can get more? Because for some teams, there are multiple scripts and alternate road logos, and I don't know which one to choose.
southside_hitmen
I just searched on google for it and got lucky. I have been looking for others but have been unable to find any. I would use those other two sites (sportsencyclopedia) as a way to figure out each teams alternate logo. It will show it once you click on the team, it will appear on the right side. compmaniac
Thanks, but I think I'll just pick the alternate logos that I think match the best with the script-text. Thanks! But don't expect this to be done until a week or two later!
