compmaniac
Nope, sorry, there is no log. But I can specifically make you one later.

compmaniac
But I'm not sure that it would really help me though. What would help most is screenshots. Could you possibly tell me where you installed the base mod installer? It must be in your MVP Baseball folder. What directory specifically? Did the installation complete all the way? (The black window). Did it stop anywhere? If so, exactly where? Thanks for your cooperation.

I hope that helps. After watching it more closely, I cannot tell for sure or not whether it stops early, after that last image. What I can tell you is that I get the "Installation is complete" window, and there are absolutely no errors that pop up on the screen. Does it have anything to do with the bases being named "coorday.bmp" when the file for the base is 038-X.bmp? Thanks for any help. If this doesn't work, do you have a work-around that I can do? Thanks.
compmaniac
the bases are just named coorday.bmp, bushnite.bmp, etc. inside the input folder, right? If so, that's fine. It just has to be named to 038-x.bmp or 042-x.bmp etc. inside the temp folder. I'm really sorry, but I can't determine why it's not working for you. I'm going to install it again on my machine, and if you can again (I know it takes a long time), could you tell me if there's any abnormalities? Thanks. I've tried to install it like 5 times already, one more won't hurt. Oh, and yes, the coorday.bmp, etc. are just inside the input folder. The files are right in the temp folder, but when I look at the thumbnail, it is the original bases, not the new ones. You said something about being able to create a log file earlier...is that still feasable? If it takes too much time or work, don't worry about it, but I am bummed I can't use your awesome bases. compmaniac
When did you check the files inside the temp folder? You shouldn't see the new bases in there until about 1/2-3/4 of the way done with the installation. If you still see the old bases in there by the end of the installation, then there's a problem. And seeing how this has been so miserable for you, I think I might create a log.
Kelvarr
I don't ever check inside the temp folder until after the installation is completed. Once all the scripting installs are done (the black windows), it returns to the GUI window that says the install is complete. When I look in the directory after that, I see the input folder, temp folder and tools folder. Inside the temp folder are all the stadiums cram32 folders and inside those are the original bases still. In the input folder are the new bases. Just a guess, but it looks like the bases aren't being copied from the input folder to the cram32 folder properly. Thanks. PS. I "installed" it again (in quotes because it isn't actually installing), and there appears to be no errors. It finishes with the scripts, and then says it is complete. I was watching all the steps, and I didn't see any errors.
compmaniac
Check inside a few cram32 folders (especially the earlier ones (higher in the alphabet)). How did you even access the temp folder? The installation must have screwed up in the middle. Because the installer (black window) is supposed to say "installation done or complete or something like that". Kelvarr
It did say that (Installation Complete), and still no errors. But it leaves the temp folder (and the tools folder and input folder) in my MVP05 directory (Which isn't default...I have it installed to C:GamesMVP Baseball 2005). Is my directory the problem maybe? I checked the cram32 folders, and none of them have updated bases. I wish I knew what was going on...There are no apparent errors, but it is obviously erroring out somewhere and not telling me. compmaniac
Is the temp folder's path C:GamesMVP Baseball 2005temp? And by the cram32 folders, do you mean the folders: C:GamesMVP Baseball 2005tempstadium_folder_namecram32? (Ex. C:GamesMVP Baseball 2005tempyankdaycram32) (Just tell me if updated bases exist in those folders. (There may be three old bases AND three updated bases with incorrect numbers.) Thanks, and sorry that I haven't gotten around to creating a log yet.
Kelvarr
Is the temp folder's path C:GamesMVP Baseball 2005temp? Yes. Contained under C:GamesMVP Baseball 2005temp are the stadium folders. And by the cram32 folders, do you mean the folders: C:GamesMVP Baseball 2005tempstadium_folder_namecram32? (Ex. C:GamesMVP Baseball 2005tempyankdaycram32) Yes, those are the folders I am talking about. (Just tell me if updated bases exist in those folders. (There may be three old bases AND three updated bases with incorrect numbers.) No, no signs of updated bases anywhere in the tempstadiumnamecram32 folder. Only the old, ugly bases. Thanks, and sorry that I haven't gotten around to creating a log yet. No problem. I understand how real life can interfere with getting these things done...especially since I and cabassol are the only two with this problem. Thanks again!
