PS2 Adapter Controller Pickoff Move

I have the adapter that allows me to hook my PS2 controller to my computer, but have no idea how to do pickoff moves. Also the sliding is messed up, and isnt the same as it was when i played the game for XBox.

So any suggestions on how i can fix this?

I have one, and I'm not sure what you mean......my pickoff is set up as L2, my top buttons are the opposite of PS2's MVP, and sliding is the right analog stick.......I guess keep messing with the config??

well what i mean by the right analog stick is that when i move towards the upper right quadrant, the guy does a standup slide to the left, where on the xbox they normally did a slide on the ground to the right. So basically i dont understand why its different.

There is no way to select the pickoff button in the buttons configuration, so I'm kinda confused as to what to do.

Hey doors...If you go into your config file you can chage the reversal of the L2 and L1 button. I had to do this when setting up my controller. I also had to change my right analog controls around because they were totated 90 degrees....Meaning my guy would jump when I pushed the right analog to the left.

If you're still having this problem PM me, I have the controller.cfg for the radio shack controller somewhere.

It's probably still listed under 2004 in the faq:

Radio Shack USB-PSX Adapter

1) Click Start, and then click Run. In the Open box, type joy.cpl.

Make a note of what the name of the controller is.

2) Click Start, and then click Run. In the Open box, type regedit.

3) Registry Hack

Make your way to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMControlSet001ControlMediaPropertiesPrivatePropertiesJoystickOEM

You'll see a bunch of entries like VID_045E&PID_000XXXX and when you click on it, it should have the name of a controller in the right pane.Keep going down the list until the controller that has the same name from joy.cpl, it should be the last entry.Delete the description for that window on the right window and rename it to Logitech Dual Action.

4) You don't need a special controller.cfg file for this one.

I wrote this faq years ago, but it should still be gravy.
