SESbb30
when i try to install the 07 mod it gets to about 30% and quits and logs off my name on my computer. i did a fresh install, put in patch 5, and then installed. and it did not ask for any disk. EDIT: and the only time it worked i started up the game like normal, and the ken griffey screen came up and then it crashed to the desktop, and then started up regular mvp 2005. andbody got a clue whats wrong? paldragons
I think your going to have to be much more clear on whats happening for anyone to be able to help you much. First half of your post says it wont install second half says it did install but no disks then the edit says it did work but crashed on loading screen. All those things are vastly different problems with different resolutions... Just uninstall EVERYTHING Even go into your file system manually and delete the left of folders even if the appear empty..(the one related to MVP and EA SPORTS) Then start over fresh .... Oh, and for godsake follow the instructions in the README included with anything you have downloaded from this site when installing.
paldragons
Installation Guide: You will needs the original CDs from MVP 2005 or CD images (ISOs) Launch the installer, it will ask you where to install (this will remove your current install, so feel free to pick an new folder so you can keep your current install). It will ask for CD1 the CD2, after it gets the needed files from the CDs in will begine to install the 07 mod. Sit make this may take a bit. Once done play the game or use the included 07maker to starts a dynasty in the 2007 season. This comes directly from the mvp07 readme file nowhere in here does it say to install mvp05 from your disks first nowhere in here does it say to apply patch 5 so, seems to me you should just start over and follow these instructions

paldragons
Wasn't trying to be a *** hole just wanted to put things in a very clear and concise way... and help everyone understand the readme file... it seems by reading around a lot of people are misunderstanding it. LetsGoFish2015
Is this just a mod for 2007, because the file to run is 'mvp2005.exe'. However, the 2006 version was completely called 2006. Is there gonna be another version, since this is a beta?
paldragons
Well as I understand it mvp2006 mod is the mvp2006 mod and is complete as is with no further improvements or fixes scheduled. And mvp2007 is the mvp2007 mod and is the groundwork that has been laid for all future mods to come this year. Beta, just means this is the first release of this years version which is stand alone from last years and is and should be expected to have several bugs. A patch has already been talked about for mvp2007 and is expected to be out soon which will fix the majority of the obvious bugs since the mvp2007 beta release. :-)
LetsGoFish2015
Should the file for 07 mod be 'mvp2007.exe'? Also, when I install, it never asked me about adding a desktop icon..
paldragons
ya, that is a little confusing... once you are all done installing the mvp2007 mod you are left with no desktop icon and the .exe inside the directory is labeled mvp2005... Im sure with patches and stuff this kinda thing will be fixed for now you can Right+Click on the mvp2005.exe and rename it to mvp2007 if you want... and if you Right+Click drag the .exe to your desktop then let go of the Right+click windows will ask you to move, copy, create shortcut... just select create shortcut .... this is all just cosmetic stuff... it is mvp2007 never fear. big shmooz
and if you Right+Click drag the .exe to your desktop then let go of the Right+click windows will ask you to move, copy, create shortcut... just select create shortcut .... this is all just cosmetic stuff... it is mvp2007 never fear. A bit of an easier way to create the shortcut is to just right click on the file (in this case the .exe) & & navigate to "send to". The drop down menu will then have a choice of "desktop (create shortcut)". Click this & you will have a shortcut on the desktop.
