Grey Balls, White Balls

Sometimes the ball is bright white, other times it is a darker grey. In fact, it changes throughout a game. Does anybody else know why it does this?

I have an X800xl Ati card. It has been doing this since MVP 2005. I don't know if I ever got a real answer though. It also does this with every driver combination thus far.

TIA.

I kinda know what you mean, I have blue balls. ;)

You sure have a lot to say........ problem is that it's never an actual answer!!!

On to the question.........

I've never noticed the ball getting dirtier as the game goes on so I think it very well may be your video card. There are some mods on here that make the ball look dirty but it always looks the same at the end of the game as it did at the beginning.

Your just sore at me because I scolded you about the 360 controler. By the way, did you get an answer about that?

What, someone cant say sore anymore without being made fun of. No, it aint Leave it to Bever. If it was, I woulda said "Oh gee-wiz hoosier4974, dont be sore at me. I didn't mean nothing by it, honest. Wanna go play Lone Ranger?"

It has to do with the lighting of the stadium. You can easily test this by zooming into the ball. By rotating the camera, the ball will often change its brightness/darkness.

^^ The only smart response to the question. This usually happens at stadiums that play during the day time. I believe Cinci, San Fran, Atl have this syndrome. I personally hate that crap. So if I'm paying attention, I change the daytime setting to night time to offset that crap.

I thought the ball changing shades was suppose to simulate clouds passing overhead? Although I've noticed, that if I hit the "swing analysis" quick button, the ball would automatically change to the grey shade. I've also noticed that clouds pass over frequently with runners in scoring position.

Interesting, I've never noticed that.
