sheff
Decided to start an NBA Trade Rumor forum. For those who don't know the deadline is tommorow and I have been hearing names like Jason Kidd, Vince Carter, and Mike Bibby who could all be on the move. compmaniac
I hope the Nets trade away Kidd and Carter, even though I am a Nets fan. Obviously, the current mix of players isn't working. Hopefully Jefferson gets healthy soon. Then we'll have one start on the team. If Krstic buffs up, then he could a legit center. Trading away Carter could reap great benefits, but if he doesn't, that would stink for the Nets, because he would probably walk away after the season, and the Nets wouldn't get anything back in return for him. I've heard rumors about Kidd going to LA Lakers for Bynum or something. Good for the Lakers, but Kidd probably can keep up his current stats only for another few (2-4) years or so. I doubt he will ever average a triple-double in a season (although this season he is terribly close...8 rebounds/game, 9 assists/game, 14.3 pts/game!) If the Nets get Bynum in return, and he plays to his full potential, and the Nets also get some YOUNG guard or some impact player with talent and potential in return for Carter, such as Gasol, the Nets will go somewhere. But then, the Nets would have too many centers/PFs, and they might want to get a SG. But PG Marcus Williams, if he keeps developing, he could become a star. sheff
Well Im hearing Kidd to the Lakers, Carter to the Clippers, San Antonio getting a player from Portland, and even Mike Bibby to CLE for Anderson Varejao
Timp
If I was the Lakers I would NOT trade Bynum for Kidd. Kidd only has a few good years left and Bynum is 19 I believe, so he'll be able to play (and perhaps be dominant) for at least 10 years. If the Lakers can get Kidd w/o trading Bryant, Odom, or Bynum, it would be an absolute no brainer. I hope the Pistons trade Flip Murray and Nazi Mohammed. They have no roles on the Pistons and they could definitely help other teams. Plus, the Pistons need another backup PG who is good ball handler, or another perimeter player. BrooklynNets24
The Nets will only trade away Kid if Bynum is in the Deal Bynum so far is a bust but hes only 19 far behind his prime. Carter has been rumored to be traded to certain places. If he leaves then bad for us if he opts out of his contract we will have 16 million to spends on FA. Hopefully the Nets dont send anyone away or try to at least get a big man Like Wilcox or Magliore.

He's doing way better than almost all players that went pro right out of high school, and is developing at a steady pace. And did you mean "he's only 19, far from his prime?" And did you mean "he's only 19, far from his prime?"You saying Bynum is doing better then Bryant KG Lebron Dwight Howard and Amare Stoudemire because all these guys got drafted out of High School and made immediate Impact to the team they got drafted to. kgbaseball
The Lakers knew exactly what they were getting when they drafted Bynum. They knew he was going to be a huge project, and that he would take at least a couple years to develop into a threat down low. Big men are historically slow to learn, but you can't tell me he hasn't made huge strides since being drafted. The Lakers would've been absolute fools to trade away their future franchise player. Wasn't he the youngest player ever to be drafted? Don't you dare compare him to LeBron or anyone else like that. He's nothing like any of them. He's a true center, and you can't find any of those anymore.

compmaniac
I can't believe the Nets let the trade deadline pass by them without making any moves! They had to move Kidd and Carter! Well, at least Carter! Now he's going to walk away at the end of the season and the Nets won't get anything in return, and they didn't even free up cap space during the deadline... Sandlot
We got Juan Dixon for Fred Jones, I think that was pretty good for the Raptors, Jones hadn't done much of all rather then making indents on the bench, and Dixon looks pretty good. If Carter not getting Traded is a good thing we can still make the playoffs. If he leaves he opts out of his contract we get the 16 million that we were suppose to pay him we didnt lose anything and Trading Jason Kidd for scrub players isnt worth it
