VTek33
I'm hesitant to try a new datafile because I like the camera angles (FY87's combo datafile) and I'd have to change the sliders around but here's my setup: I play on mvp, strike zone on, indicators on, hot/cold zone off, fade on the ball. Sliders: meter diff. -9 pitch speed -8 cpu ball rate 1 user fatigue -12 cpu fatigue 6 user control 15 cpu control 0 user contact -17 cpu contact -29 user power -36 cpu power -37 What do you think I should change first? If I keep lowering my contact I'll just get dribblers all the time won't I? It just seems like both me and the cpu are hitting over 10 hits every game and usually I'll win by a couple runs. Thanks. medric822
adjust the batter contact/power so that its a higher negitive #, and the cup contact/power so that its a lower negitive #.
VTek33
Ok, I'll see how it works out. Thanks.
medric822
Yeah, I had same problem, most of my games were like 11-0. But now there like 5-4 or at most 8-2.
VTek33
Do you play on mvp too? At first I tried just making the cpu pitching faster but then I couldn't catch up with pitches. Plus, I figured if the cpu is getting 10+ hits a game right now, why would I increase cpu hitting and power? But I guess there's a fine line between cpu hitting numbers and having your own pitching good enough. If I want to cut down on cpu hitting should I change the contact numbers first? Have a higher cpu power # than contact?
medric822
I play on All-Star, since on MVP, they CPU throws alot of balls, and I'm not that patient of a hitter. Well, I am in real life though.
kgbaseball
Try MaddiesDaddy's datafile. It's built for the computer to have a lot more rallies.
VTek33
KG, Do you use MD's file? I've heard that no matter what the score is, the cpu ends up coming back in the later innings? I tried it a while ago but wasn't too excited about the camera views. Is it easy enough to combine the camera views from the datafile I'm using? I've read how it's done but it seems a little over my head.
kgbaseball
I use it, and it's perfect. The CPU doesn't always come back, but every once in awhile they do. I play on MVP, and sometimes the CPU slaughters me. Once I lost 22-7.
VTek33
Hmm, alright, I'll give it a try.

medric822
Why do you have to wait until July?
The-A-Team
Turn off the pitch cursor, strike zone, etc. Make it so there is nothing but the batter there. I had been playing with only the pitch cursor on fade and now that I removed it, I'm walking 3 guys a game and have a team ERA near 4.00. I've played MVP since it came out on and off and I've not had a team ERA above 3 until now. I also play with -15 pitch meter and +15 pitcher fatigue. These values really just depend on how far away from the screen you play. Adjust as you see fit. I believe that I have finally reached near perfect sliders, I will publish them when I'm sure of them. medric822
Yeah, I have pitcher fatiue set to 15 as well. I have hot/cold zones turned off, and this makes it more challenging now too.
