Field Changer WIP

The Big O

Recommended Posts

Well some of you might have noticed the poll that I posted this week about the possiblity of using the grass I've created for my stadium mods in all the stadiums. I decided that I was going to do this and then Trues contacted me and he said he was working on the same thing so we decided to combine our efforts to bring you not just a new grass changer - but a Field Changer

Trues is redoing the dirt and grass for all the NL parks while I am tackling the AL. Compmaniac has also helped out providing two useful unpacking and repacking programs that have sped up the process quite considerably - thanks bud! :wtg:

Anyway Trues and I will both be posting progress in this thread. The concept of the grass changer by raindelay was great, but this takes it to a new level. We are both excited about this one and look foward to its completion. Now for the pics:

More to come, so stay tuned!

Does boricuapapi1885 have a download for the same thing?

What's the difference?

Sorry if there is a difference, and I didn't notice it.

See, The Big O, I knew you were going to do something great! And no problem!

If you guys need an installer, I would be happy to make one.

There should be very minimal shimmering if any at all as this is one of the main focuses of this mod. This is NOT hi-res. Think of it as the minimal grass changer while maintaining most of the texture detail. Also, all grass/dirt is being re-colored to better match the actual stadiums.

That's great news! Good luck with the project.

this looks fantastic, guys...as i mentioned to Trues a while ago please feel free to use any files from the grass changer (the .bat or whatever) that you might find useful. Good luck - this will really make MVP feel like a whole new game for 07.

Great Job! but one question:

Wrigley Field:

Why the Field Changer Mod doesnt shows the MLB & Players Asociation Logos in the field?. Will the field logos be on the field or will be erased?

The mod will not get rid of those logos, the stadium mod that they were used in did not have them that Trues is showing. For the most part, stadium modders have removed these logos. If you use the default stadiums or any mod that has the logos, they will remain.

Well I just finshed off Jacobs. It took me forever to get the grass color right. I'm just too picky I guess. Kauffman is also done. Pics below:
