jpinard
Do the sliders only affect viewed/played games, or does do they affect all of the siummed games as well? Thanks!
RobMac
im pretty sure they affect simmed games as when i was messing about with sliders for my game i got them perfect until i realised that the other games in the first week season had scorelines of 23-19 or something, most games had double digits... so that is probably down to th sliders i dont think the datafile affects simmed games at all though if you want to know for sure then its simple... put cpu batter power at 50 and contact at 50 and sim a week or two and if you get crazy scorelines you know you had an effect
NickD
I just tested it. No, none at all. I simulated 3 different dynasties on all star and everytime the SB total by August 11th was approx 39. I lowered all the steal sliders that could affect this number to -50 (~5 sliders or so), the result was 39 SBs by Aug 11th. I tried bumping them up to +50 on the 5 or so sliders that affect CPU stealing, again the leader after Aug 11th was ~39. I also tested things like pitcher fatigue on Complete Games and never did adjusting the sliders show any difference. Very surprising, and a little disapointing to be honest. jpinard
Hmmm, that is disappointing. So if in the simmed part of the season the AI is hitting too many HR's, how can you lower it? - is there a way? Is that what the datafile mods do? NimitsTexan7
I would try testing it with the power or contact slider settings; I often suspect that some of the sliders, such as the steal sliders or error frequency don't work correctly or do not have the affect one would expect.
