San Diego is under .500 and way out in the West, but this should be a good series. Heres a review of the season match-up so far. Theres a lot of games left this year ! bob44
Juan Pierre has a decent batting average this year of .266, but he's been fantastic on the bases. This guy is FAST !!

bob44
Game #2 Los Angeles vs. San Diego. The Dodgers offense didn't show up tonight. The Padres take this one 4-1. LA was held scoreless until the 9th inning when Luis Gonzalez hit a solo home run. Randy Wolf had an off night, pitching 6 innings and giving up 3 runs on 9 hits. Even with the loss tonight Wolf has an awesome 8-2 season record. Josh Bard had a huge night for the Padres going 4 for 4 with 2 solo home runs. Josh Bard has a great game at the plate tonight in the Padres victory. Heres one of his 2 solo home runs.
dgutierrez32
bob44, did you ever get around to posting your background screens? I don't mean to sound pushy, of course you're free to do or do not as you please... Keep up the good work with the dynasty. I'm about at the same point as you are, and Matt Kemp is a monster. .345 BA, 35 HR, 55 RBI, 13 SB so far, looks like MVP honors will be his. In related news, he got called up in real life!!!!!!!! duckdodger215
41-16?? a lot better than i'm doing in mine. what level do you have it on and what sliders do you use? I'm about a game over .500 and SD is about 7-8 ahead of me at the moment. Toronto and D-Rays just took 2 of 3 from me, and Nomar tore his PCL and is out 255 days. Now my infield is Betemit (RHP)/Tomato (LHP) at 3rd, Furcal SS, Marlon 2B, and Kent 1B. Marlon actually bats cleanup against righties. Loney on bench. bob44
Game #1 Toronto vs. Los Angeles. The Dodgers take care of the Jays easily tonight 7-1. Rafael Furcal had a huge game going 3 for 4 with a double, 2 homers, 2 runs and 4 rbi's. Derek Lowe was fantastic, pitching a complete game, giving up just 1 run on 8 hits with 8 K's. Lowe moves to 6-2 with a 2.50 era on the year. Blue Jays only run came in the top of the 9th when Lyle Overbay homered. Luis Gonzalez makes an amazing diving catch tonight !! He also belted his 9th homer of the season.
bob44
Game #2 Toronto vs. Los Angeles. The Dodgers win their 3rd in a row with a 4-0 victory over the Jays. Jason Schmidt was awesome tonight. He pitches the complete game shut-out giving up just 7 hits (all singles) and recording 4 K's. He also goes 2 for 3 at the plate and puts down a nice sac bunt. Schmidt is now 8-2 with a 2.79 era. LA will try for the sweep tomorrow. Nomar Garciaparra comes barreling into home plate.....but Jays catcher Jason Phillips holds onto the ball. RmembrZito75
Seems like they never let go of the ball. I'm not sure why though. I hit the catchers with Adam Dunn an the ball never pops loose. Dynasty's looking good as usual, Bob. Good job on the win.
dgutierrez32
I could never get a play at the plate to begin with, my first one was a few weeks ago. I wonder how it's coded, because it seems to me like the catcher has to already have the ball and you have to press the right analog up right as they meet or right before they meet. bob44
Game #3 Toronto vs. Los Angeles. The Dodgers complete the sweep of the Blue Jays today with a 3-1 victory. The Jays seemed to leave there bats in Canada as they only scored 2 runs total in this 3 game set. Brad Penny sailed through this game, going 8 1/3 innings giving up just 1 run on 8 hits. Saito finishes the game after Penny gave up a 1 out triple to Royce Clayton in the top of the 9th. Matt Kemp had a big game in a spot start. He goes 2 for 2 with a double, 2-run homer and a walk. LA welcomes the New York Mets into town for a 3 game series next. Matt Kemp rounds the bases after his 2-run homer to break up the 0-0 game in the bottom of the 7th. Toronto vs. Los Angeles Series MVP = Dodgers top 3 starting pitchers (3-0, 2 CG, 1 Shut-out, 26 1/3 IP, 23 hits, 2 ER, 0 BB, 17 K's) Schedule for June........ Standings........ bob44
Game #1 New York Mets vs. Los Angeles. This was a rough night for the blue crew. LA was rolling through this game no problems. Top of the 8th Dodgers have a 5-0 lead and Randy Wolf is having a fantastic night. Wolf ends up hitting Alou with a pitch, Green gets a single, Chavez reaches on an error, so now the bases are loaded. We get to 2 outs, still 5-0. Wolf gives up two straight singles, its now 5-2 with the bags loaded and 2 outs. So out comes Broxton to shut down Delgado....wrong. Carlos Delgado smashes a huge GRAND SLAM into center field, Mets go up 6-5 !! Then Nomar pinch hitting in the bottom of the 8th with 2 outs knocks in pinch runner Furcal, who had just stole 2nd base. We now have a 6-6 game. On to the 13th inning, Hong-Chih Kuo who was just called back up to the majors, pitched a scoreless 12th inning, but could not get out of the 13th without giving up 2 runs to the Mets. New York takes this one 8-6. Dodgers look for revenge tomorrow night to even the series, after an embarrassing loss tonight. Here is the start of the downfall. Wolf is trying to get out of the bases loaded jam here in the 8th. Mets end up scoring 6 times with 2 outs. Carlos Delgado crushes a GRAND SLAM off of Broxton in the 8th to put the mets up 6-5.
