Jason Schmidt got a little roughed up, going 5 innings giving up 4 runs (3 earned) and 7 hits. Dodgers tie it up in the bottom of the 6th 4-4. Game #2 Los Angeles vs. Toronto. Dodgers win this one easily 6-0 thanks to great pitching from Derek Lowe. He throws a complete game shutout, giving up only 5 hits, 0 bb and 3 k's. Luis Gonzalez continues his hot hitting streak with 4 rbi's for the 3rd game in a row !! This game was close, going into the 9th inning LA was just up 2-0, but they get 4 insurance runs thanks mostly to Gonzalez hitting a triple with the bases loaded. The Dodgers will go for their 8th win in a row tomorrow night and their 2nd straight series sweep.

Jeff Kent dives for home plate here on Luis Gonzalez's sac fly in the 6th to put LA up 2-0.

LUIS GONZALEZ IS ON FIRE !!!!

3e.jpg?t=1183623012

Luis Gonzalez after 67 games this year had 33 rbi's. He's drove in almost half of his season total in the last 4 games, getting 15 rbi's !! He had 3 against the Angels, then 4 against the Angels. Now he's added 4 against the Blue Jays in each of the first 2 games of the series. Gonzalez has moved to 2nd on the Dodgers for rbi's with 48 behind Nomar's insane season, in which he has 76 rbi's in only 71 games.

Game #3 Los Angeles vs. Toronto. Dodgers lose a tough one today 5-4 to the Blue Jays. Toronto had a 2-1 lead going into the 7th when LA got homers from Martin and Kemp to take the lead 3-2. Dodgers add an insurance run in the 8th and go up 4-2. Jason Schmidt had been cruising through the game, but LA decides to go with the Broxton - Saito duo to end the game. Things go bad for Broxton and Saito never gets a chance as the Blue Jays score 3 in the 8th to go up 5-4. Broxton gives up 3 runs (2 earned) on 4 hits and earns his first loss of the season to go to 3-1. Dodgers travel down to Tampa Bay next for a 3 game weekend series with the Devil Rays.

not enough offense for the big blue machine... need to trade Nomar and Kent for some young talent to make it back all the way... only 3 dependable pitchers doesn't help either... Still 2 maybe 3 years away if they stay the course...

Game #1 Los Angeles vs. Tampa Bay. Dodgers win this one 6-3. Brad Penny gave up a 2 run homer in the 1st, but after that pitched very well. He gives up just 3 runs on 5 hits through 8 innings and had 7 K's. Juan Pierre has a nice game, collecting 3 singles and 3 stolen bases. Mike Lieberthal in a rare start goes 3 for 4 with 3 doubles. Saito earns his 21st save of the season.

Brad Penny started off the year 0-3 with a 5.97 era. Since then he's gone 9-1 and lowered his era to 3.45 !!

Game #2 Los Angeles vs. Tampa Bay. The Dodgers bats go crazy tonight and destroy the Devil Rays 14-6. LA was up 9-2 going into the bottom of the 7th, but the D-rays made it exciting scoring 4 runs to make it 9-6. Also with 2 outs and 2 runners on, Tampa Bay hits one to the warning track that Gonzalez catches at the wall, inches away from a tie game !! Juan Pierre has another great game, going 4 for 6 with a single, 2 doubles, a homer, 4 rbi's and 2 stolen bases !! Randy Wolf pitched well until the 7th inning when the D-Rays started their rally. He moves to 10-2 and is the Dodgers first pitcher to 10 wins this season. LA comes back to score 3 in the 8th and 2 in the 9th to make it a blow out. Game #3 Los Angeles vs. Tampa Bay. This was a crazy game. The Dodgers some how win this one 9-8, but the Devil Rays should have taken it.

First of all, Tampa Bay crushed Brett Tomko. They get 8 runs on 16 hits through just 5 innings off him ! Going into the 5th, D-Rays are up 4-1, but LA scores 5 runs to go up 6-4. Tampa Bay comes right back in the bottom half of the 5th to score 4 more runs off Tomko and lead 8-6. Dodgers get closer in the 8th, when Matt Kemp gets a lead off single and steals 2nd base. Then Russell Martin singles him in to make it 8-7. On to the top of the 9th, Chad Orvella comes in for the D-Rays to close it out up 8-7 and he gives up 2 runs on 3 hits and a walk. Saito easily finishes the game 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 9th. Dodgers travel to Arizona next for a 4 game series against the 2nd place D-Backs.

Devil Rays bats come alive today. Here Carl Crawford slides home to put Tampa Bay up 4-1 in the 4th inning.

do you get bored winning so much?

NO :) . I have my dynasty on pro level. When i started i hadn't played this game that much, so i picked pro. Last year i mostly modified the game and just played a little. The start of the season was tough on me and i was losing some, but the more i play i keep getting better. I could up it to all-star, but i wanna play out this season like it is. Then my next dynasty will be played on all-star. I'm 17-5 this month, but when i look back, i see 5 games that could of went either way. If i didn't come back or hold on to the lead i would be 12-10. Anyways i'm having fun. This season is about half way over and will be finished for sure!

I am disappointed in how crappy the D-backs and Padres are in my dynasty. Both of them are good teams and should be closer to me, now matter how much i win. They just stay right around .500 all the time. But if the Boston Red Sox were in my division, it would be different. They are 50-25 at the moment and would be just 6 games behind me.
