Combining assorted uniforms

Hi again all,

I have searched the forum with no luck. What I would like to do is take my Red Sox team, and incorporate my favorite uniforms from their past as well as certain uniforms from their minor league set into the 12 uniforms that are available to select before a game.

I have tried using the latest version of MVP Studio, version 1.5. but when I choose the option to build them into the game, it seems to work, then the program closes itself.

When I start a game, the bitmaps of the uniforms I want are there, I can select them, but when the game starts, the original uniforms are there instead of the ones I installed.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. You modders are the reason that a great game, has become even greater.

Maybe I have figured it out. Do all the uniforms have to be 2x or 1x, or can you have both in your uniform set? I have gotten the MVP studio to extract the files to the game successfully, but, the game seems to crash when I select the unis I added while attempting to play a game.

I want to use unis from the Sea Dogs and Pawsox while I play as Boston. I am getting closer to figuring it out, but haven't perfected it yet.

Yeah, I was having that same problem incorporating the Padres road alternates, the updated camouflage jersey, the gray jersey that (I think) UMachines did, and the updated Bakersfield Blaze uniforms.

You think there will be an update to Fuzz's studio for MVP '07?

then why not do it the old fashioned way? it just seems that some people just have problems with mvp studio. and by the way, fuzz's last release was titled "final"...so take that as a subtle hint.

anyhow, on to how to do it:

i included a link below that will be very useful if you take the time to read the links.

in the long line of uniforms, boston is numbered u010. you will need to get all the uniform files you want to use and rename them as such. so if you want to replace the boston home jersey with something else, rename your new uniform files to f010a.fsh and u010a.fsh. these files all go in the models.big file. i would use kraw's installer.

secondly, you will need to redo the uniform selection screens. you'll find these files in the uniforms.big file, which is in your frontend folder. extract the 010.fsh file. unpack it with nfshtool, and then replace the bmp files with the ones you want. repack with nfshtool and then install the 010.fsh file back into the uniforms.big file with kraw's installer.
