Players not performing as expected?

I have just started a new dynasty with the yankees in MVP 2005 no mods, just the UR 8.1 rosters. I have to say I love the new rosters. With EA ratings I could just destroy the computer going 30 game win streaks on all-star. Now my record is 6-4, Im still getting used to the lower ratings. :not: Though to get to the point. I play on all star, no slider adj. with the Yankees. I am hitting in the mid .100-.200 with all my players except Robinson Cano. He's hitting so far .359 and 11 HR, where Alex Rodriguez is hitting .209 and 7 HR. Even with Cano being rating lowly on LHC he still has jacked 2 HR against them. I know some players hitting .159 can be expected but Jeter. Ive only had one "blow out" and that was the first game beating the Sox 8-0. I like the fact that my games are close and fun,(and the fact that their may actually be a pennant race) but at the same time its frustrating to see my most talented players hit sub .200. Any suggestions...

2muchclutch is right - be patient. It takes a bit - I just started to play on All-Star not too long ago and it took till my 15th to 20th game to become mostly comfortable with the added difficulty. However, I still haven't grasped it completely.

Thanks for the tips, Ill try to be more paitient. I dont really focus on the statistics as much as I use them as performance analysis after the game. Though I do probably get frustrated when Jeter comes to the plate and cant do nothing and get impatient. I hardly strike out, unless the pitcher isnt putting something in the strike zone. I do swing at almost everything that moves :lurk: . It just seems like my 80+ contact hitters hit everything to a fielder or pop up fouls, then Cano just sends everything out of the park.

P.S. I like your sig 2muchclutch.
