Darkslide820
I realize that you can't actually create a team. You have to change the team name, initials, logo, etc. of one of the 120 teams that are in the game to begin with. But how do you actually go about doing all that? Do you use that MVPEdit thing, or can you just navigate some folders and rename things? How does that work?
Darkslide820
OK, folks. Now that I actually have the game and have been doing some editing using MVPedit, I'd like to know how to do this. In MVPedit, I see that there is a spot that looks like you'd be able to edit the city, name, and initials of a team but it is ghosted out. I would also like to know how to change the logos of a team. I am looking mostly to do all-time, all-decade, and all-league teams, so I'd like to make some basic yet representative symbols for the teams. Thanks to any help. I don't think you can change the team information in MVPEdit. I think you have to export the .dat files. Then edit the team.dat in a text editor, save it. Then import the .dat files into MVPEdit. Also you'll need to use LocLook to change a lot of the text in the game. I think most of the team logos are in the datafrontendlogos.big file
Darkslide820
"I think you have to export the .dat files. Then edit the team.dat in a text editor, save it." How/where do I export it? Can I use notepad as the text editor?
