07 Mod problems (weird)

Here's my problem. I don't have any pitching/glove sounds when I pitch and the catcher catches the ball. It's completely mute. This only happens to me. The CPU has all of the sounds when it pitches. It's the weirdest thing. Anyone else have this problem? I'm thinking about adding the sounds from the CD, but I don't know what controls the sounds.

I have the exact same problem. There is never a sound when a fielder catches the ball.

You 2 are the 2nd and 3rd people to bring this up. Both of you should speak with sjbushido to see if he solved his problem and how. I offered him some advice, but go PM him and see if he solved this issue and how.

What advice did you offer him? This makes the game almost unplayable.

You consider your game unplayable because you can't hear your pitches hit the glove? Jesus Christ.....be thankful we have guys willing to do what they do the last 2 years. I would be happy with just new rosters every year.

"I am assuming you have absolutely no audio mods installed. Not even custom audio from Hory, that Total Audio. And I assume you have none of my audio mods. So, what I would do if I were in your shoes is put in my CD 1, and look for any files that have audio in them. Right now I put my CD 1 in and am guessing that what should be taken out are is located inside of that COMPRESSED folder, and inside of that folder is a DATA folder, and inside of that folder is the AUDIO folder. Take that stuff out and try to put that wherever you see that stuff installed onto your game. FIRST BACKUP YOUR MAIN FOLDER! Then try to take that entire audio folder off of CD 1 and replace it with your installed audio folder and see fixes it. Matter of fact, I'm nto sure, but find the file called sfx, actually, ANYTHING with sfx in the name of the audio file, replace that from off of your CD. SFX stands for sound effects. Do THAT FIRST. If that doesn't work, considering backing up your models.big, your rosters, and your saved game, all somewhere else, then uninstall your game and reinstall, then simply put your modded stuff like your models.big, rosters, and saved game back where they belong and you have your stuff back. Sorry for the trouble but you could just be having a glitch. That happened to me where I had a glitch that no one else had. Everytime I went to the CREATE PLAYER screen, the screen was to bright. All that fixed it was a reinstall. Have a great day. Mo."

I went back and asked him what he did and he copied his entire audio files over from the CD to where his game was installed and he said it took a while but well worth it.

Thanks for your response. I said, "almost unplayable", But really, playing a baseball game with no sound is like playing it with no monitor or controller. Truth be told, would you really be satisfied with rosters every year and no sound? Just curious.

I believe I may have misunderstood you. I thought your problem was you had audio except for the sound of the ball striking the glove. I apologize if I got that wrong. I thought you were complaining about that small problem and not being completely void of audio. Sorry.

No, I should apologize for getting snippy. This mod rocks! I haven't played MVP since 2005, and i can't believe how much baseball we got with this game. The new games while they are good, don't give us much in the way of game options, i.e. minors, stadiums, etc. Right now there are no baseball sounds, just the announcers. I'm going to try the suggestion above, if that doesn't work, I'll re-install.
