Lemdaddy
I've tried tuning and practicing with no luck. I been able to lay down 1 bunt in 7 games. Is there any way to make bunting easier by modifying the datafile? It sure would give me more options and make the game more realistic.
kgbaseball
There's a slider for bunting ability.
medric822
Well, are you doing a bunt from the start, or do you push the button during the pitch? If you try bunting during a pitch, you'll naturaly have to wait a little longer than a regular swing, since your just bringing the bat down as compared to a full swing. But if you want it easier, hold the bunt down during the windup. It'll be more accurate, but the fielders will have a jump on it. This is best used to move the runner over. itmike
bunt... whats bunt Nah, the players do have ratings for bunting, Ive never been able to pull off a bunt with a guy less than 75 bunting. Im pretty consistent with guys of 80+ bunting. Just point the stick down and to the side you want the bunt to go. If you dont have any good bunters, then you could always just ramp up your bunting ability as said before.
medric822
Thats like cheating though, and you might as well lower the ratings of everyone in the game, or make a team of patersons.
penguininja
I just gave myself a little boost on the sliders for bunting, much like I do for stealing. I wasn't really ever able to pick those up with default settings, so I'm willing to settle for a handicap.
itmike
Yeah I dont really consider the sliders as cheating. That's like saying playing on rookie is cheating. Im really good at pitching. If I play on Pro, I have almost no use for a bull pen as my starters will go all the way and with 10+ K's. Ive through so many perfect games on pro its just stupid. I can hit decent on Pro but going the all star level I can only bat .215 as team avg. for the Yankees. So I slow down the infielders and give myself a little contact boost on All-Star to allow a few more hits through and give it a bit more realistic feel. This is better than my starters throwing CG shutouts, and perfect games every other start. I know I could just jerk pitching down on the Pro level but what would be difference. The pitching on all star default fits my pitching skill quite well. It's just tuning the batting.
