OsageCowboy
Don't even bother throwing it, seriously. It's total BS. You can land it perfectly low in the zone and it still gets hit out of the yard 50 percent of the time. Pitching in general is EXTREMELY frustrating with the MOD. Advice please.... pistonj92
Try tweaking you sliders or downloading a different datafile. But if you pitch that 2FB in the corners it won't be hit yard
kgbaseball
The 2 seamer is EASILY my favorite pitch in the game. I have lots of good luck with the pitch in the game.
Yankee4Life
The two seamer is basically like any other pitch. If you throw it too much or if you throw it to the wrong hitter, it will get bombed. You can have the same result with just about any pitch.

TwentySeven
I agree, it's one of the most effective pitches for me - it's up there with the slider and change up, but obviously behind the four-seamer.
Sidewinder
Also, Lefties tend to hit low pitches better but have trouble with high stuff. Just the opposite with Righties. Keep that in mind.
philliesphan18
Yeah - and I realized with this 07 mod you have to change speeds frequently and you cannot throw the same pitch to a good batter in the same location back to back. - It's more realistic that way. Homer
sorry cowboy, but it doesn't look like you're getting much support here. and you won't get it from me either, cuz the 2 seamer is one of my favorite pitches too. i think direction of movement on it matters too, since they vary from pitcher to pitcher. this pitch ranks up there with the curveball, slurve, and knuckle for me. SESbb30
the 2-seamer is my fav. pitch, throw it just off the plate, then the next pitch, start it way in and have it come back and just catch the plate, thats a nasty pitch sequence.
golfguy10
Tired of that 2 seamer gettin jacked? Hold button 5 and press down or click on the left analog stick. works everytime.
pfalvey
Tired of that 2 seamer gettin jacked? Hold button 5 and press down or click on the left analog stick. works everytime. What exactly will holding button 5 down or clicking the left analog stick do? I'm not familiar with any functionality when pitching.

itmike
Well, I have to say I agree with you mostly. If you just put it low and not to a corner, it will likely get hit. I tend to stay away from the two seamer as well. It is very effective on the corners but make a mistake with it over the plate and you might as well say C'ya Lataz! I had a guy jack one that was rated 50 contact and power. It seems as if the computer can easily hit it if it any where off of a corner. I tend to stick to 4-seamers, sliders, low change-ups, and splitters. I may throw a 2-seamer to the inside corners of same handed batters and away on opposite handed batters, if I get a high pitch count. Just my :twocents: . OsageCowboy
Well my problem could be that Dontrelle Willis is just horribly overrated in this game. He's been shelled every time he's stepped on the mound for me, and I think I need to make a move.
TxDodger73
I think the splitter is the most worthless pitch in this game. It really doesn't drop or dive like you would expect it too. Most of time it's like a fat sinker or changeup. It's just doesn't seem too deceptive no matter how high the settings are. Tx

Campo09
The 2 seam is by far the best pitch in the game, You can use it to paint the top out side corner, and set up an inside slider or anything. I dont know why you cant throw that pitch, the datafile doesnt make it that hard just more realistic.
DeuceBlades
I get yanked out of the yard on any pitch, but its because the control of my pitchers I use. I love the 07 mod, it is very realistic. The 2 seamer is by far, my favorite start pitch, in any sequence. I set up with hard stuff, and get outs with off speed, just switch it up, you'll get it. penguininja
I'm in the minority here, but I don't throw the 2-seamer that much. When I do, it seems like there's usually a better chance of the PC hitting a homer than with any other particular pitch.
