bakersville123
For me, one of the most attractive features of the great High Heat series was the inclusion of 1-pitch mode. For those not familiar with this feature, for each new batter the game determined a pitch count based on the pitcher/batter and other factors. So, when new batter A came to the plate, the count might already be 1-2, 2-2 etc...It made the games go by ALOT faster, which led to me getting through multiple seasons when, if not for 1-pitch mode, I wouldn't have been able too. So, based on the modders level of manipulation offered by MVP 2005, is anything resembling a 1-pitch mod even remotely possible? Thanks
compmaniac
If anybody, ty might be able to do it, but I think that he would say that such a minute value would be hard to search for in the memory.
bakersville123
I've no experience modding MVP though I do some work for the boys over at football-freaks.net for the PC version of Madden. Most of our Madden modding revolves around database manipulation versus in-game changes such as would be required for a 1-pitch mod. All-star baseball 2004 (xbox) made a lame attampt at 1-pitch mode that resulted in a very high number of walks. I found it unusable. So, I suppose I'm testing the MVP mod waters to see if this is even remotely possible. Again, I'm not sure to what degree the MVP modders can manipulate in-game sequences. Sean O
It will never happen. Trust me.
brutushayesosu
I love this idea. Increase the number of Ks,BBs, and games I can get through playing.

Wow, that was a good answer. I could probably find the balls and strikes count in the boxscore information, but then you would have to run a program at the beginning of every plate appearance. Which wouldn't be very convenient.

Couldn't you do something similar to what you just did with the box score extractor, make it so you just press a button and it would run the program? vanbascos
How about just a "Pitch count" I remember in High Heat, you were able to see the number of pitches a pitcher threw, so instead of looking at the stamina, when the pitcher reached the three digit mark you knew it was almost time to take him out. rmac111
when you pause the game you can see how many THROWS the pitcher has made. It is on the pause screen by the pitchers stamina bar.
