In a thread about a 23 inning game of MVP:

I had a Dynasty on PS2 last year with the Padres. The game was late in the year, and I was playing the Braves. It went 17 innings, and had quite a finish. Linebrink was my pitcher, left a fat one over the heart of the plate, and Ryan Klesko hammered it over the right field fence at Petco. Yes, Ryan Klesko, the guy I had traded to the Braves just before the Trade Deadline. Irony. I guess he wasn't happy about being traded.

I liked the idea of this thread, the last time it existed. I searched for the old one, but couldn't find it.

So, just for fun, show us your first post on this website.

You can find it by going to the search function, selecting the search for author, putting in your own name, and making sure to select "Display results as POSTS", and then going to the very first match chronologically (which will be the last post on the final page of matches, if you don't change any other search options).

Here is mine.

Subject: The Return of the Big Red.......

I'm sorry - this is undoubtedly a silly question  - but I can't seem to find the key to take screenshots in the game - unless I HAVE found it and just can't find where it's saving them. Could you help me out? Thank you. :help:

What's funny, is that I think I had to ask this question again semi-recently. lol.

Subject: Some players are never satisfied.

from my experience i've always had a handful of players that are mad for various reasons (pay, playtime, etc.) but my team chemistry isn't effected in the long run if i can keep the team winning. there's always going to be the .200 hitter that throws like a girl but thinks he should be a $10 million indispensible...but if you stay in contention and field a winning club your overall team stays pretty happy.

Since I didn't say anything incredibly stupid, I'll post mine. It was wordy but I made up for it by posting only 167 times since then. BTW, I do play with the gamepad now.

July 29, 2004:

This is my first post to this board, but I've been monitoring the discussions for several months now. I'd like to say you guys do a terrific job modding this game.

I also play CPU vs CPU because I like the manager end of it. HH 2002 was great for managing while watching, and I played that right up until this spring when MVP came out. I find the biggest challenge, however, is trying to keep a step ahead of my own manager. He pulls the dumbest moves, and can shoot down three innings worth of planning ahead. I can usually keep a hand in the decision making by taking manual control at times, for bunts, steals, etc.

Jorespn, I've tried a number of settings and like the one I'm using lately. I use the Roddata 7 Kamasutra POV mixed mod, and play on MVP level with hitting tuned up quite a bit. I see good pitching, but also get some lively rallies too. I can either post or send you my slider settings if you like.

How about a PM instead of a first post.

PM to Y4L or Trues or MarkB:

Subject line: I DONATED!!!!!!!!

"Hey man do you guys have downloads for mvp basball 2003? I need some rosters updated and I can't find any on the site. I only see stuff for 2004. If it helps I even donated man!"

Stupid. I acted like they had some secret link on the site for MVP 2003 when their format for downloads back then was right there in front of your face to download stuff for 2004 and nothing else. The admin offered to refund my money, which I declined-I just wanted to use that fact as a tool to get my question answered. What a dummy.

First let me say Hi. New to site, just kind of stumbled across it! Next, I would have to say Owner's mode. I love playing the Baseball Mogul games, but miss the on field action, so now I will hopefully have the best of both games combined into one!

That was mine.

Here is mine...I started a thread in order to post a thanks to those who started and run the site...

...a little brown nosing right out of the gate....

Just want to say thanks to all those who make this web site go. It truely makes owning and playing MVP worth while.

I stumbled across this site last March right after I bought MVP2004 and I was blown away. Sites like this really make gaming fun....taking the game to where we all truely want it to be.

When I got into Madden in the fall I found the site footballfreaks.com. It was by far the best Madden site with the member communication, mod files and general game assistance.

Thanks all and good luck with your dynasties, online seasons, etc.

Go Yanks!!!
