XxTearG0dxX
I feel like starting an owner mode rather than a dynasty, However what should I set my ticket/food/jersey prices at? I'm afraid people won't buy them or something . Also about my created player what should I set his stats at? I'm not sure how to set that or what to set them to. medric822
Well the higher the stats, the better and more costly he'll be/ Creata a bad player, sign him cheap, and then jack him up. As for the dynasty, all I can say is upgrade and win all your home games, lol.
carter
I would recommend starting a dynasty over owner mode because owner mode usually crashes after season one and before the start of season two.
medric822
Thats if your lucky to have $$$ left before that happens.

medric822
I was wondering that too, I never lasted long enough for that to happen.

carter
What do you mean crashes..? Like the game will freeze up? Or it will go downhill for me not having enough money or something? When you go to start season two, the game crashes back to the desktop. If you don't believe me there are several threads in the Support forum regarding Owner Mode crashing issues. I beat owner mode, It don't crash. Set stuff to $2.00, and Make everything on your guy 80 How did you beat owner mode? You must be one of the lucky ones because a lot of members here have experienced crashing while playing in Owner Mode.

rixmithco
I did a couple of seasons with standard MVP 2005. I tried it using standard rosters and it wasn't too much fun because of the money restrictions. They I tried drafting and figured out which players were good bargains to draft and went from there and it was awesome. I didn't modify prices a whole lot. Once the team was doing well I found it was better to have slightly higher prices. Also it was more important to build out the seating quickly, even at the expense of some of the concessions. itmike
Set your created player stats in the mid 70's to low 80's. Give him 5 star potential. I wouldnt play with the food prices right off the bat. Use the graphs to help you determine what needs to go up and down. I would use artmoney or that program on here to give you enough money to buy all your upgrades. I know this sounds like cheating, well it is. The problem with the owner mode is that your trying to support a major league team with a low class minor league stadium. The numbers just dont work right. Though to keep it interesting, just give yourself enough to buy your stadium grades and come out with a few extra million. It's pretty pointless to just give yourself a billion plus dollars. Then just try to make your team as good and profitable as you can from there out. I have done it without cheating I just left the prices as playoff prices. Simmed the seasons and made some good moves in the offseason that would give me a lock in the playoffs. It took like 12 years to get everything, ehh maybe that long. It's been a long time since I played it in owner mode like that.
jhoff80
I played it on the Xbox back when 05 first came out, and the key to being profitable for me was to trade away anyone who had a salary over 300k, although I did keep Pujols. If you're using the standard rosters, you'd be surprised at what kind of team you can get for that cheap.
