theyellowdart125
I've followed all of RaptorQuiz's suggestoins in installing MVP 07 but the game sometimes stops (about 2/3 of the time) loading during the Griffey load. I can't manually quit the program; the only solution is to restat the computer which takes sometime to do. The progress bar gets about 85% of the way through before it stops and the CD quits spinning in the drive. Any suggestions??
BigFreelFan
Sir, No-one will help you because they think you are making a joke. Hell, I'm from the Cincnnati area, and I thought right away, maybe it was quitting BECAUSE it was on the Griffey Screen. Try and PM someone directly, or use another analagy. I think, then, you may have better response. Still......It's very funny that it chose to lockup on that screen. Maybe that's the part of the game that loads the disabled list. UncleMo
I'm tired of answering this. Use the 07 maker that comes with the download. That is what fixed it for me.

UncleMo
I'm not mad. I'm just tired of saying it over and over and blah. Try that 07 maker and tell me if it worked for ya.
theyellowdart125
says that my MVP Baseball 2005 folder does not match patch 2, 3, 4, 5. I installed the patch again to the default folder (where everything is) and tried it again, but that didn't work.

I installed the patch again to the default folder (where everything is) and tried it again, but that didn't work. That might be the problem there. Install the 07 mod in a new directory, for example C:MVP Baseball 2007 Have it in a different directory you have the 05 game installed.

Do you play games with the 07maker.exe? They give you the disclaimer that you can't use that exe to play the game or it'll give you "major problems" but is that just because it's a cracked exe so you know..., or are there other issues? theyellowdart125
well I just opened and closed the game 5 times with no problem, maybe reinstalling the patch fixed something..

theyellowdart125
It seems to be related to the pitching meter location fix. Reinstalling the patch clears out this patch and the game started up fine 10 times in a row, but once I fix the pitch meter, the game only sucessfully loads roughly half the time
jklm57
That might be the problem there. Install the 07 mod in a new directory, for example C:MVP Baseball 2007 Have it in a different directory you have the 05 game installed. I have this problem too! I had originally uninstalled mvp 05 before installing everything that came with mvp 07. I've gone through mod after mod after mod including all those steps that RaptorQuiz suggested on his thread. Now I face this problem and cannot start a 07 dynasty...The only good thing about this situation is that I have no save game files to worry about at this point Not sure if installing patch 2,3,4 or 5 will affect all my 07 updates and I really don't want to be installing all those mods all over again Is there any other solution? Like is it possible for me to patch my mvp2005.exe file without the patch file touching all my rosters and stuff?
Alvan9
I had the same problem, so I just unistalled everything, then installed MVP2005 and checked to see if everything ran ok. After that, I installed the MVP2007 and checked to see if everything ran ok. Then the patch and check, then any other download I wanted. After Each thing I installed I double checked to see if a baseball game would run. After I made sure that I was in the clear, I backed up my files. If I ran into a problem with my next download, I would just use my back up files and continue where I left off.

jklm57
I checked everything too! Well, everything except the dynasty maker and now I don't feel up to spending hours waiting for the install to finish again. Anyway, I just ignored the error box, created my dynasty normally from mvp2005.exe and shut down my computer after that so I wouldn't have the effect of closing the dialog box. What does the 07 dynasty maker do anyway?
Ghostrider
It happened to me too (the Griffey thing). My solution was to turn off my firewall and end the services associated with it. Not sure why that worked, but it did!
