dback3
hey there, I have recently (since last week) begun experiencing a problem with my gamepad, a Saitek P2500. It is a great controller and it worked before last week but now has developed this problem: when I move the right analog stick (the one for dives, slides, etc.) to the right or left, the fielders jump or dive forward, respectively. It's almost as if the x-axis has been converted to the y-axis, but the real y-axis is still functioning properly. So the problem is this: my right analog stick doesn't work for dives to the left or right, although it does work for headfirst slides and straight feet-first slides while running. In the windows xp control panel, the controller is working fine with all buttons, axes, and everything operational. I updated the drivers and everything but the problem only exists in MVP and only in the past week. I have not made any changes to my computer either, and the usb ports are working fine. It is very annoying to not be able to dive since it is an important part of the game. Has anyone had a similar problem or know a solution? Thanks,
maddux31
Hmm...That sounds like the same problem I had with mine. To be honest though I just went and bought a logitech, since they are endorsed by EA. You may consider doing that, if only for MVP and use your saitek for the other games you play. I have 2 logitechs now for hooked up and love them. I know this doesn't answer your problem though. Mine finally just almost completely quit when playing MVP?? Very weird. But MVP is the only game I used it for..so..good luck! Did you try the search tool?
dback3
I bought another controller today just to test it out and make sure it was the controller, but even that controller seemed to have the inverted axis. the saitek worked perfectly up to a few days ago. I have tried it on a couple computers and tried everything but i can't figure it out.
maddux31
Did you go to the options menu under controllers in the game? When your selecting your team I "think" you can check the controls out there for your gamepad?? And in options as well. Don't hold me to this..Is the new one a logitech? dback3
I believe that fixed it.. I did a couple dives and it seemed to work... I hope it really does solve the problem. Props to KerryW for posting the solution. I'll return that test controller I bought tomorrow, and stick to my P2500. Thanks maddux for the feedback
