Pitching strategy

I've been trying to get the number of hits per game down for me and the cpu but it still ends up over 10 every game, my record is 10-3, manny, ortiz, and drew are all hitting over 400, etc. I've got the power sliders set at -40 for both user and cpu, and contact for me at -27, -34 for cpu. I'm playing on MVP with the strike zone/hot/cold zones off and pitch cursor fade and pitch speed at -6. I'm also using Trues newest datafile.

I got to thinking rather than lower the contact sliders more, maybe I should change my pitching approach? I usually go for the quick 0-2 count and try to get guys to chase. Before I write too long a post, instead of messing with sliders more, should I try to set guys up more often and go into deeper counts?

I had a similar problem until I started pitching around the edges of the strike zone. It's hard to walk CPU batters anyway, so you shouldn't feel as though you need to throw it anywhere near the middle of the plate. Occasionally, though, you can throw a fastball w/ max velocity right down the center with 2 strikes on the batter and it usually catches the hitter off-guard and he never gets the bat off his shoulders.

Other things that have worked for me include mixing pitches and changing speeds.
