torement Posted May 21, 2007 Author Share Posted May 21, 2007 [align=center]Tribe Pitching once again Stellar,down Mariners 3-0[/align] 2 games in a row now the Tribe pitching staff has been able to blank the Mariners. Also 2 games in a row the Mariners lose because of just 2 mistake pitches. Today they came in the 3rd when Washburn left a fastball right down the middle of the plate for Josh Barfield, who just exploded on it for a solo home run, His first of the young season. The other(mistake pitch) came in the bottom of the eighth when once again Washburn left one out over the plate to Michaels, the only difference between the two was that the latter was a 2 run shot. When asked how he felt about the series, manager Eric Wedge replied "I am very disappointed in our offense, and if it wasn't for this pitching staff we would have walked away with only 1 win" [align=center][/align] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
