HCaray
This is a Preview/Announcement/Support/Request thread....... I'm trying to create a "print screen" package for the game. Here's a preview: This will include a CTS screen, a license screen, new splash screen, and will also replace all loading screens shots from the game. I've searched and searched.......but cannot understand how to import/edit things into EA Graph and then import them into the game. Also...I have compmaniac's All Screens Maker and am able to create the necessary file types, but am not able to put them in the right .big file correctly... What I'm asking: -KC, Kraw, comp, and tywig... I'm asking for your help, or anyone else who can imput.... - Help with "slow kid" insturctions for putting screenshots into our game.. -If you have any pics you've taken from the game, and would like to see them in the game, send them to me and I'll see what I can do. -I am on Spring Break this week, and when school resumes in a week's time, I will not have time to work on this project....so let's get this figured out as soon as possible.... -HC
Homer
well you can either try to use eagraph, or another method. i'll tell you about another method. you'll need these tools: eagraph nfshtool kraw's install everything tool you can start by looking at the picture, and notice that the files you're most interested in are in the frontend folder. the ones you'll probably want to look at include the following big files: bkgnds, all the load files, and the splash file. what you can do is open up one of these big files and experiment. as in the picture, i opened it with eagraph. there you'll see each big file is comprised of fsh files. click on them and a plus will show up, and hit the plus button, and you can preview the bmp file inside the fsh file. with eagraph, you can click on each fsh file and extract it to anywhere you wish. once extracted, simply take that fsh file and drop it into nfshtool, which will produce a folder titled with the same name as that fsh file. look inside the folder and you'll see two to three files. one is the bmp file, another maybe an alpha file, and lastly the index file. you can do this the simple way, open up that bmp file, and simply paste in the picture you want to replace it with and simply resave it as a bmp. once you have the picture you want in it, simply drag the index file back into nfshtool and it'll repack the files. now simply open the fsh file again with eagraph and you'll see the new picture is in there as you wanted. to install fsh files back into the big files, you can use kraw's install everything tool. just simply click on the appropriate command. the ones you'll want will probably be for the "loading screens" and also ".BIG files in the frontend folder". just select the appropriate big file you want to install it into. once done, your new screens should appear in the game. now...bring on the questions. Kccitystar
Any images that are equal to or less than 800 by 600 should be resized to 512x512 resolution, anything higher than 800x600 should be resized to 1024x1024 resolution. The way I initially did it, I extracted all of the FSH files out of bkgnds.big and opened them with NFSHtool, and made my edits. I had to resize them all b/c I had huge photos. Both are located in the frontend folder, but when I open bkgnds.big file, it has loading screens in that also. I just want to know which ones I should be editing. Homer
both. they contain screens for different parts of the game. i'm not 100% sure on which parts though.
HCaray
thanks homer. I'm working on changing the menu screens right now and have run into a minor problem. I'm trying to figure out where to locate the number for this picture, in frontend, or anywhere it might be located in the game files: I'm pretty sure it's Griffey. It only stays on the screen for a split second after I click the "Click to Start" icon, and then doesn't appear again. I'm using the 07 mod if that helps....maybe someone who worked on it could help me locate it. thanks
maddux31
HCaray, I like where your going with the click to start screen!
HCaray
here's an update: i've done the Menu Screens, the Game Mode Screens, and re-did the license screen, although i'm still not sure how to get into the game. again, if anyone has any photos, send them to me. playing games and taking pics is the most time consuming part of all of this. thanks
