HChinaski
I apologize if my lack of knowledge is annoying to the advanced modders on this site, but I am having difficulty having my question properly addressed. I simply want to import a cyberface which was a default face on MVP 2005 (Jack McKeon) into my 2007 dynasty. I have downloaded Kraws installer thingy, eagraph, models.big updater, as well as tywiggins importer/exporter, and MVPedit. My ability level extends about as far as being able to install the various mods ('06, '07, datafile mods, roster updates, etc.) What would be the easiest way to import a cyberface given my extreme novice status when it comes to modding? If someone can just tell me where to start, I don't mind researching the site endlessly to figure out the steps myself, I just don't know where to start, which tool to use. I received some help from redsox, which I appreciated, but his directions were a bit over my head i.e not specific enough for my level of experience. Any help would be appreciated as I really enjoy this game, this site, and the updates which keep the game fresh. Thanks.

fred13
extract McKeon's face from the default models.big with Eagraph. You need to find his cyberface number with MVPedit, then in EAgraph, find his number and extract the cxxx.fsh, .ord and .orl files. Then rename it to whatever number you want it to be in MVP 07 and use Kraw's installer thingy or EAgrpah to install it to your MVP07 models.big. HChinaski
ok I'll give it a try...I am continually researching and I think that I may be on the right track, by using the EAgraph tutorial, it seems as though that may be the way to go, though I don't really understand much of the content of that tutorial, I may just follow the steps and see what happens, I mean, at worst, I'll just have to uninstall MVP and start over (which I have already done 100 times anyway). Thanks maddux31, btw, Maddox was, for about 5 years, my favorite ballplayer, absolutely fascinating to watch him work.

Darkslide820
My question is this: Why is it so complicated? To do all this stuff, you need 50 programs, converting to several different file types, extracting this, renaming that, etc. Why didn't they just make it, like, a player has a folder, and in there would be subfolders like cyberface, portrait, and you would place a picture file in there? You'd think it would be so much easier.

I guess this was easiest for them to compress all the files so it can be on 2 cd's.
DeuceBlades
If you notice that Sims 2 has like 4 cd's, thats the reason that fred13 told you about. Sims 2 was made for the modder, while MVP was really made so the company could get as much game onto 2 disks as they possible could.
