InSainn
JR, you asked for updates on my dynasty so I'm here to fill ya in, at the end of the week last week I clinched the division and went ahead and simmed the rest of the regular season. I played the playoffs this past weekend, swept the Nationals in the division series but then fell to the Pads in the NLCS. Their pitching was too much for me. I also completed my offseason and am prepared to move on to 08. In offseason news, Mark Cuban bought the team lol and signed A-Rod to play SS and also traded Marshall, Jones and a prospect for Griffey Jr. My lineup for 08 looks like: Soriano - LF Theriot - 2B Griffey, Jr. - RF A-Rod - SS A-Ram - 3B D. Lee - 1B Soto - C Pie - CF With a rotation of: Zambrano Prior Lilly Marquis Hill Dempster was let go after posting a mid 5 ERA last year, Marmol moves in as the closer with Wood (who had an outstanding 07, posting an ERA of .79) and Howry doing the set-up duties. Thanks, Insainn, I appreciate the info. With the signing of A-Rod and Cuban, your 08 Dynasty sounds like it could be very entertaining. If you think about posting it (or at least some of it), I'd definately check it out. :)

philliesphan18
Wow, that Dodger lineup is nothing like real life! A total of 118 homers while in real life the starting lineup, with Nomar, has 72!

Pierre just hit his 17th homerun of the season, lol. :)

Maestro23
That Buzz-Saw that is the Dodgers. Man, nothing like a former Cub going yard against his former team (Pierre). That Dodger lineup is tough. Good luck the rest of the series JR.

That Dodger lineup is tough. Good luck the rest of the series JR. Thanks, M. At least in the game, they're tough for some reason. Seanz and Pierre are having career years. I couldn't find Randy Wolf's curveball all night. Big nasty hook that I was consistently out in front of. Houston won (again) and has tied things up. Again. This may go down to the last day of the season the way it looks.

You're right, Bronx. He was near unhittable (as you can see). 98mph fastball, 81mph changeup, and a hard sinker. I doubt if I saw one pitch in the middle of the plate. Everything was on the corners, and he mixed things up pretty good. Still though, with only 3 wins on the season, I came into the game expecting more offense. I'm an amatuer at best in Photoshop, at least compared to where I want to be by next season. I've always been interested, but never really took the time until earlier this year when I started the dynasty. And by all means, take some ideas and run with them. I look forward to seeing them. :)

JoeRudi26
gettting down to it man....how pissed you be if you dont make playoffs? Man, I've been pissed enough the last 3 games to last me into next season. I beat the Dodgers in the first game (4 game series) and had a combined 8 hits in the last 3 games. Pissed, cussing, on the verge of throwing the controller straight through the monitor. Like I've said earlier in the dynasty thread, I only play these games once, so to restart a game would diminish the whole point of playing. As far as the playoffs go, I've been here before. I've been tied with Seattle (playing as Oakland in 2004) up until the last game of the season, and lost to them to get the last playoff spot. Playing a season a year since around the mid 90's (Tony LaRussa, Hardball III, High Heat Series), I've only been to the World Series 3 times, and lost every single one of them. I'm trying like hell to get there this year. I, and the Cubbies, would like to bring one home. :)
