This must have definitely been a huge relief to get out of the mini-slump. And Jay, 128 pitches thrown by Duke - looks like worked the count on almost every at-bat. Hope you can get back on track Jay and at least get a stronghold on the Wild Card. Take care.

Yeah, thanks, V. I don't know what it is lately, but everything I hit seems to be at someone. I had to try and get on any way I could. The Bucs don't look to be a problem though, I should gain some ground in this series.

The update was hurried, but I should be back on track after this game.

JR (hope U don't mind if call U like this even if I'm new to this thread) what you're doing down here is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !! I've read all of this (the all 169 pages !!) in something like 5 five days nearly in a row... OMG what a pennant race !! Your pre and post game templates are just honey (like we say in France ;)... Yes I'm, so please don't blame me for my english  ) and I really enjoy the screenshots.

I really hope you'll get to the playoffs... Man, you just deserve it !!

Oh yes you're the best PS advertising Adobe could have dreamed of !!

Thanks, pierrick! Man, I appreciate the compliments. It's been an unbelievable season so far, and I've had a blast with it all.

Things are getting tight, Pittsburgh just took game 2 of the series but Houston lost, so the standings are still the same.

I'm 1 1/2 out of first, 1/2 game out of the Wild Card. Glad to hear you've enjoyed it so far. I'm working on the Pittsburgh updates as we speak.

Again, thanks for the comments! :)

Well I just realised that I'm now almost more interested in your results than the real-life team I support (the Mariners who were still contenders a few days ago :headache: )... So please I don't wanna be disappointed 2 times this baseball year !! I rely on you to bring me a great October...

Let's go JR's Cubs !! (and Mariners anyway  )

Thanks again, pierrick. I thought Seattle would finish strong, sorry to hear that about your team.

As far as the Cubbies (dynasty), I've got to play Pittsburgh tonight (with the update) and then I get Houston for 3 games. I am going to try and overcome them in this series.

I've already started on Playoff templates, I just hope I get to use them. :)

Thanks, ar. I'm still 1 1/2 games behind Houston, 1 game back of the Mets for the Wild Card.

I open a 3 game series against Houston tomorrow, so hopefully I can overcome them and take back the Central.

BTW, great dynasty you have going for yourself as well. Keep up the good work! :)

STANDINGS UPDATE

*Only Minnesota shares the best record in the Majors with Los Angeles. The Dodgers have dominated the West from opening day, and have never looked back. Essientially a Playoff lock since mid July, Los Angeles is a strong contender to bring home the ring.*

*9 games back at the All-Star Break, the Chicago Cubs have fought their way back to be a legitimate threat to win the Central. The Central title has been a dog fight since the end of July, with neither team giving ground. It may come down to the last week of the season.*

*Almost a carbon copy of the Central Division, Philadelphia and New York have not budged since mid-season. Never trailing for more than 2 or 3 games behind the Phillies, New York could very well make their way to the top of the East, leaving Philadelphia, Houston, or Chicago to fight for the Wild Card spot.*

*In the American League, Oakland has owned the West for most, if not all, of the entire season. Quietly the Seattle Mariners have snuck up behind the A's to put some real pressure on the boys from the Bay. First place in the AL Wild Card race, the Mariners are looking for that West title, but will settle to get in.*

*A legitimate race for most of the season, Minnesota has separated itself from Detroit and the rest of the pack in the Central. Still not out of it, the Tigers are forced to look for a Wild Card spot to have any chance at the playoffs.*

*With Toronto and Boston slugging it out for most of the season, New York has quietly climbed a 11 game deficit to knock out the Red Sox, and become a strong contender for the AL Wild Card spot. With 3 weeks left on the season, the Yankees are known to thrive in the clutch. Like the NL Wild Card race, the AL race is a toss up of it's own.*

I like the latest update, hopefully you can get into the postseason - I want to see these playoff temps in action!

-- You know JR, you can make the image in your sig a link to the dynasty. Just put it like this:

Thanks for the info, phils. I'll give it a shot. :)

joe, whos team MVP, you should make that a poll...id say aramis ramirez

Without a doubt, xredx. Ramirez is the only player that hasn't struggled the entire season. It's been up and down for everyone (even Derrek Lee), except for Ramirez.

A couple of 2 or 3 game slumps, but he's bounced back every single time. As far as the poll, I will definately put that one up after the Wild Card has been determined.

Other than some key pitching, Ramirez is the lock.

joe im really impressed with your photoshopping...i was wondering how you add the fluresant stripes to things, like on a homerun ball you make it glow, and the last one you posted of cubs vs astros has the nice glow between astros and cubs...sorry i shoulda PMed this

No prob, xred. It's just the Lens Flare, which you can find here in Photoshop:

Filter -> Render -> Lens Flare

There are a few different kinds, just experiment until you find something you like.
