Thanks, M. I have the day off, so this might require a brew or 9 :) to settle down, relax and get a win.

How bout this weather, eh? From 94 to 48 in two days. Geesh. ;)

Brew is always good when playing game.

Man I woke up this morning and was reaching for a blanket that just wasn't there. DID NOT want to get out of bed today and head to work. Just think how I'll be when it really gets cold.

I need a setup like you man. :smokin:

Break your bat off in Schmidt's...

...uh, win the game. I hate that guy. Go Cubs.

I'm pinch hitting Big Daddy Daryl Ward in the first inning, and I'm gonna charge the mound just for the hell of it. Probably before he throws the first pitch.

Lou will barge out, claim Schmidt was trying to intimidate him, and he'll probably get tossed too.

I've got to do something, sf, times are getting desperate here. :)

I see nothing wrong with that logic and endorse it 100%.

Schmidt was tough. I just closed my eyes and hacked. He was basically unhittable.

Too bad for LA that Z was one step ahead. Keeping Pierre and Furcal off the basepaths are key, and Zambrano wasn't giving in.

Yeah, too bad Aram couldn't get it done in real life, I was looking forward to seeing them take it a little further.

Thanks, guys. That last win was a struggle. I'm seriously not too optimistic about pulling this series out, but I'm going to fight until the end.

Despite Zambrano shutting them down in Game 3, this is by far the best team I've faced all year.

I love that lineup card in the background of the pitcher previews. -- Nice win JR!

Thanks, phils! I've dug out a few of the old templates to use in the post season. Now if I can just dig out a couple of more wins. :)

Get it done JR! You only have to beat Wolf, Lowe, Billingsley to get to the World Series.

And Jay, I have to congratulate you big time for the animation. I just tried that and it took me forever to just show a pitcher throwing a ball to homeplate - I probably spent nearly 2 hours doing that, not to mention, my computer locked up saying that there was "not enough virtual memory." Do you ever get that error when playing around with Photoshop? I usually get that when I am doing heavy duty stuff in it, like adding a whole bunch of layers (100+ - don't ask, did that for a background that my cousin wanted) , and adding different color balances, and coloring the texts here and there, etc...

Anyway, looking forward to you evening the series up at 2 apiece. Take care.

Actually V, it did take me awhile to do the first time I tried it. I eventually got used to it a bit and figured out the short cuts, which in turn cut the time at least in half. It's a cool little program. I've been wondering how to animate GIFS for some time, but never really looked into it.

I get the virtual memory loss error sometimes, but not too often really. I've made templates that exceed well over 200 layers, sometimes 300. The more text, the heavier the bog down, at least that's the way it is for my system.

Anyway, Game 3 was extremely frustrating. I got lucky with Ramirez and jacked one in the first inning, and then held on for dear life. If it goes the way it HAS been going, I'll never make it out of this series.

Edit -

Here's the first one I made, V, this one took me a couple of hours:

That is truly amazing - especially the way you showed the track of the ball. I think I am going to try and spend more time on it to see how I can improve myself. But once again a fantastic job on coming up with a unique aspect to a dynasty. Looks like I am going to be following in your footsteps yet again. Hope you don't mind. Take care.

Agree with redsox. Once again, JR blazes the PS trail.

Hey man, take it and run. :) Like I said, that was my first attempt, and from what I see, the ball tracker is pretty rough.

I had initially wanted to make a sig out of a GIF, but I don't think it's allowed, and that's sort of what brought me to the idea.

I'm telling you V, these Dodgers are tough. My season is all but over. ;)

Where is sweet Lou and how does he explain himself for this type of game play? He better make his presence felt in the club house!

EDIT: If you think that ball tracker was pretty rough, I just can't imagine as to what you can come up with. I just wish I can come with something decent enough to present when dealing with animated GIFs. This definitely takes a while to do but man this is so much better than just grabbing a video using FRAPS.

BTW, have you seen the water advertisement where Pinella turns into a very nice guy because of the water he drinks. I thought that was very well thought of.

First of all, Game 4 is in progress, and they've had to ship Lou off on a stretcher. It is NOT pretty.

Second, I do think the ball tracker is rough, a little shaky between frames, but then again I have 20/10 eyesight, so maybe I can just see it better. :):) Seriously though, when this season is finished (which will be sooner than we think), I want to mess around with it a little more and see what I can come up with. I'm still tinkering with the idea of a '78 season, but I want to sit on it for awhile to come up with something totally unique and presentable, that is if I decide to do it.

Thirdly, lol, (that's not a word, I'm delirious from watching Dodger baserunners cross the plate), I haven't seen the commercial, but it sounds pretty funny.

Oh man! Lou must have had a heart-attack during that 7-run 5th.

I just hope you can scrap out some wins Jay. It would be too bad to have your season get over so soon.
