holy hell... howd kent manage to hit a triple....? error?

Lofted it down the right field line, Monroe missed played it and it went all the way to the wall. Didn't really matter though, the damage was done by then.

These guys were unstoppable.

Jay, how were you able to grab screenshtos every 0.5 seconds in FRAPS? The lowest I am able to go is 1 second.

Maybe it is a second, V, I was just going by what the frames in the animation program said. Not sure about Fraps, you're probably right.

(hmm...reverse psychology? yeah, that'll work)

I'm throwing in the towel. You're done - Bums win.

(yeah, that did it. it's gonna be different now)

I hope the reverse jinx works, sf. You got any voodoo dolls at home? Stick a few bums for me if you do. :)

I hope you're right. If so, it would be against the most powerful team in the league, at least in my dynasty.

The odds are definately against me.

Take it one game at a time. Stay within yourself. You know, all that stuff.

good luck man.

Man, I have Marmol slated for Game 5, probably the weakest link in the roation.

One sign of faltering, I won't hesitate to abuse the bullpen. This is it. The fat lady will be at the game.

I'll suit up Gracie if I have to. :)

How were you able to have such a smooth transition between your frames JR?

Here's the one that I just made:

But if I compare that to the one that made, your transitions are so much smoother. Any suggestions you can give me Jay? Thank you and take care.

How many frames did you use, V? Of course, the more the better. Just curious, because that's really the only thing I can think of.

*Edit - I might also mention that each frame is set to No Delay Time, and mine had a total of 53 frames. And of course, the better the raw data, the better the result will be.

Not a whole lot at all. I used 7 frames with about 0.22 seconds delay between each one. And the delay between the last frame and the first frame is 0.75 seconds. If that's the reason why, then I will give it another give with a lot more frames. You think around 50 should make it a little bit smooth? If I remember correctly, you said you used about 57 frames for that one right?

EDIT: Just read your edit. But if you set it to no delay, how come yours doesn't go much faster? I will upload a shot of mine with no delay, and it runs really quick.

More frames + No Delay = As Close To The Original

Does that help, V? :)

Well, I just realized why it goes so fast - its because I have a total of 7 frames. If I include more frames then it should have a better transition between the frames. Thanks for the help man.

Another tip, V. If you want to edit any part of the stadium pic, sky, text, shadows, anything like that, make one layer and keep it at the top.

It'll will be there in each frame.

Gotcha. Will take that into account. One thing I would like to figure it is how you generate the track of the ball. I was able to do it on a still picture, but I am having some problems with an animated GIF.

No secret to it really, you just have to work one frame at a time, and kind of 'eye ball' it.

Here's a really quick example. I made the text, but just 'winged it' on the lighting. Each frame, move it along, make it lighter or darker coinciding with logic.

If that makes sense. :)

This maybe an idiotic question, but you do use FRAPS to grab the screens for your animation right?

I am guessing you check "Repeat screen capture every ___ seconds (until hotkey pressed again)" and set your time to 1 second. That's actually the lowest I can go and when I do that, I am not able to generate a whole lot of frames so the transition is not smooth.

First, I set up the view of the replay that I want. I usually use the Free Camera because I think the other ones are awful.

Then, I let the replay run and just press the screen capture hotkey (F10) as relatively quick and steady as I can. I guess you could say I do it "manually".

I do this until I get the portion of the replay that I want, not really knowing how many frames there are until I go to the Fraps folder.

It's tedious, I know. :)
