Every dynasty on here is of someone playing on all star and constantly winning...no heart breaker seasons....i mean i know as players you wanna win and all that but a bit of realism and challenge would be good...i myself play on MVP with kumalas datafile and no sliders...hard stufff....blowout games are rare and id say in between dynasty and exhibition i win a tad over 50% percent of my games.

But keep in mind we all play the game differently. What may be a challenge to you may not be to someone who is playing with your exact same difficulty level, and vice versa.

Not sure if you read through the entire thread, but I was down in the division most of the season, and came out on top probably with more luck than anything, ie, Houston slumping in the last 2 weeks of the season.

With that said, as much as I try to go for realism, it's still a video game, and I've tweaked the sliders over the years to where it is a challenge, at least for me.

Feel free to post your dynasty, I'd love to check it out.

Well said JR. If anyone know you or I, easy is the last thing we want. We hate reading dynasties where teams are 30-0 from opening day. And we don't restart when we lose a game we feel we should have won, or a star player goes down with an injury for a long time. For me, resetting went out with my Coleco Vision.

Congrats on the latest win. Errors will kill a team everytime. Good luck my friend in the next game. This truly has been a fun dynasty to follow. (Man, don't ya just love that Dodger Stadium). :wtg:

Maestros right....i hate the 30 and 0 dynasties as well...reseting gets boring to see becuase in those seasons i know they happen becuase no way will the cpu sit there and never make an effort to steal a game...however i do play with injuries off =X...i mean mainly becuase the cpu would lose players like soriano or rollins and if i know im facing them soon i want the full challenge...i feel its better that everyone is full strentgh so i can test how well i play against them....but good luck in game 7...wasnt trying to critisize your dynasty...just give an opinion on what i normally see...yours seems great though...i saw one mets dynasty where reyes had 91 power...=/ yeah right...Im a mets fan and all but give me a break...bet that kid went on to win 140 games lmao. Here comes the 'ole quote train again... :)

Yeah, thanks, M. Without a doubt the errors cost them. And they just kept on comin. It's almost like the CPU had their number from the first pitch.

The former poster had mentioned something about a 'lack of heartbreaker seasons', which in fact could still ring true in this dynasty. It's not over yet, and as much as anyone might think the games could possibly be restarted, there's obviously no way to defend that in this type of setting.

I can assure you I wouldn't waste 6 months of my life playing each game manually, and trying to present a comprehensible format daily, just to restart a game that wasn't going my way. The wife's cat can vouch for me, he's 'almost' been thrown through the window more than once over the summer. ;)

Anyway, it has been a challenge, and a daily one at that. I've overcome the Central Division during the regular season, swept the NLDS, and fought my way back into Game 7 of the NLCS.

The honest way. :)

I didn't take it as criticism at all, Kayx. In fact, I welcome criticism. Hell, nobody's perfect, right?

And I do agree with you about the 'all too winning ways', but my season has been a challenge, at least to me.

Thank you my good friend from France. :) If sharing my season brings the passion to just one person, it would have all been worth it anyway.

I may or may not get into the World Series, but I've gone alot further than I had expected anyway.

Game 7 will be played tonight.

C'mon JR. All the bars in Wrigleyville have stocked extra BREW! :pals:

Dammit, M, you said 'brew'. As you know (living so close) it's about 80 degrees and sunny here. I work at home, no bosses, and about 8 cold ones in the fridge.

Oh well. Cheers! :pals:

Guild Wars. :)

I'm thinking about picking up Guild Wars JR. Could it become another guilty pleasure?

Remember, I'm an old EQ/EQ2 player here. Had to give those up because they sapped all my time.

It's an unbelievable experience, M. I had to detox just to get my baseball season started in April. :)

Seriously though, if you grab it, let me know. We'll travel the world. :)

Wow, JR. I have been away from the site for the past month or two, and I had to come and see how this thing is going, and I am simply amazed! Top notch as always, and it so exciting to see you going to game seven in the NLCS. The animated GIFs are incredible! I didn't know that could even be done in PS. :D

Anyways, it doesn't look as though my dynasty is ever going to be completed due to technical difficulties, but I would like to do one over the winter, if school permits. :)

Anyways, good luck in game 7, and I will be anxiously awaiting the results. :p

Thanks, apr! Good to see you back on board. Too bad about your dynasty man, maybe something in the off season or next year, eh?

I just discovered the animation program too, I had no idea, but it's a cool little feature. :)
