The pic. with the Cliff Floyd AB looks really good.

BTW, your Lou is not going to be making the same kind of outburst that we saw today right  ? That kind of yelling just can't be good for his health.

Thanks redsox. I've been messing around with lighting lately, and I'm still somewhat in the 'dark'. :???:

It could be better.

Man, the Brew Crew broke out the lumber in that game.

I almost broke my dam* neck trying to hit Sheet's changeup. 97 high and tight then a floater on the outside corner.

They scattered the ball all over the field, but I pretty much kept a lid on their scoring. I just kept guessing (changeup) at all the wrong times.

Great dynasty, JR26! Just curious. How are you able to track Geoff Jenkins hitting streak? I am looking for a way to track streaks and trends and I am wondering how you are doing it.

I track all of the teams in my division using the MVPSavReader. I check out their stats each game just to have a 'look' around the league.

I noticed Jenkins had gotten a hit in the last few games (there may be others, he's just the one I noticed) on Milwaukee's Roster stat sheet. Since I noticed it, I just have kind of been keeping track. ie, his hit total went up each game.

I don't usually pick through the stats meticulously, like I said, I just noticed him in particular.

Yeah, you kept them from crossing the plate, so the hits really didn't mean as much. How many runners did they LOB?

Man, I hear you on Sheets. I hate going up against him. He has me coming out of my shoes up there too. :biglaff:

I just looked at the play by play, and it looks like they left 10 on base. Things were quiet until the third inning, and then it seemed the bases were occupied most of the game.

I'm 2-2 against the Crew this year (month of April), so I'm looking forward to at least getting the win tomorrow and 'claiming' the series, so to speak.

I'm not even sure who I'm facing tomorrow, but I'm more at ease knowing it's not Ben Sheets. :D

Hey JR, can you provide some stats for me? Just wanted to know how the following players are doing in your dynasty.

Dice-K

Papelbon

David Ortiz

Kazmir

Thanks man.

Nice dynasty. Couple things:

I think you probably should've let Pie play through his struggles. He's a much better option than Pagan at least. Izturis at the leadoff spot = puke. When Soriano comes back, I would put Soriano at 2nd, platoon Murton and Floyd in LF (Floyd has been amazing for me in my dynasty), Pie in CF, and Jones in RF.

I do like seeing Soto as the backup instead of Blanco. If DeRosa keeps struggling, heck, I'd demote him for EPatt.

First of all, thanks for the input.

I would much rather have Pie in the outfield (somewhere) and leading off versus Izturis too, primarily because of his speed. In 26 AB's Pie was hitting .154 and he was sliding fast.

Since I have multiple options (Pie, Murton, Soriano, Jones, Floyd, Pagan) in the outfield, and basically every one of them was struggling, I decided to mix it up a bit while the season's early and get a feel for each player. I played a few exhibition games, but not nearly enough for things to balance out for each individual.

Then as fate would have it, the struggling Soriano went down with an injury which just solidified my decision to use April as a 'trial run' to see who will see most of the playing time in the outfield.

As far as Izturis leading off, he has decent speed (81) and good contact (.291) with Ramirez and Lee just a few slots down the lineup to generate that leadoff position into runs.

So far, Izturis is my best option in the number 1 spot. It's a long season, and there's no doubt things will change. Pie will be back in the lineup soon, and hopefully hitting the ball. I need him in that spot, and that's ultimately my goal.

WOW indeed. I guess its about roughly 20 games into the season and Ortiz is crushing the ball. That is really a nice thing to see.

Thanks for these updates.

I finally got Theriot up to the bigs before April was over, and he was solid for his first game.

This is the defensive lineup (not batting order) I hope comes to fruition:

Felix Pie - RF

Alfonso Soriano - CF

Cliff Floyd - LF

Aramis Ramirez - 3B

Derrek Lee - 1B

Cesar Izturis - SS

Ryan Theriot - 2B

Michael Barrett - C

Considering each individuals attributes, this is the personnel I'd rather have on the field each day. Hopefully by the end of May these guys will be producing enough to stay intact for the season.
