JoeRudi26
Thanks, H. Hernandez was one of the toughest pitchers I've faced this year. I need to grab a win or two in Seattle before I face him again. Wow. What a game. :)
Mav3rek
nice to to see you in the world series. I've been forced to watch from afar, as I was banned for a while. But I'm back and enjoying this. Good Luck.

Anyway, thanks for checking in! :)

JoeRudi26
So - how good was Calfzilla? lol, I wonder if they actually call him that. Both pitchers were pretty good, but Hernandez was better. His fastball was clocking at around 98-100mph with a good curve ball and a devastating sinker. Priors pitch count was relatively low, they were swinging early, hardly anything out of the infield until Ichiro blooped one over the right field wall. Here's their numbers from Game 2:
JoeRudi26
MY FAVORITE PLAYER BLASTS A SHOT TO WIN IT!!!!!! wouldnt have it any other way good luck! Monroe has been a monster so far in the first 2 games of the World Series. Batting .500 with 3 homeruns and 4 RBI's. It's a good thing he's stepped up, Derrek Lee can't buy a hit. RaysFTW
Talk about a pitching duel. Prior went 8 striking out one, giving up two. Felix striking out 9. Calfzilla and Felix are insane!
JoeRudi26
Felix was throwing hard. His sinker got about 5 (virtual) feel from the plate and then just shot down toward the knees. I couldn't catch up with it every time he threw it. Prior on the other hand was pretty tough too. The Mariner lineup is hard to strike out, but 'Calfzilla' was inducing alot of ground balls. When the Cubs aquired Monroe back in August, I was mainly platooning him with Floyd and Jones in the lefty/righty matchups. He's been key to the Cubs success in the post season. NYM
Sorry I haven't posted in the thread, but I have been following. Do you plan on doing an off season and maybe a 2008 season?
JoeRudi26
Sorry I haven't posted in the thread, but I have been following. Do you plan on doing an off season and maybe a 2008 season? Not really sure, NYM. I haven't decided whether to keep up with the Cubs for a few years, or post something entirely new for next season. I've thought about doing a 78' Dynasty possibly, if anyone would be interested. I'm up for ideas though.
NYM
I think you should keep this dynasty. You have a lot of audience and your presentation is incredible. I also think people are into what is going on and I know I would be interested in seeing some off season moves and another playoff birth in 2008. Thanks for the compliments, NYM, they're much appreciated. Like I said, I'm not really sure what to do yet, I've kind of grown into liking this team, and by now I definately know how each guy performs. And trust me, it takes all of 162 games to really find out the strengths and weaknesses. I'll think about it for awhile, see what I can come up with. JoeRudi26
just curious, what team would you be? Not really sure about the 78 season either. I initially thought about being either the Yanks or the Redsox, but something tells me it would be a little more interesting to be a different team that would (more than likely) have to overcome both of those teams to change history. Kansas City or the California Angels come to mind off the top of my head. It could be interesting.
