JoeRudi26
It sounds like this thing will re-invent what the pinnacle of an MVP Mods dynasty is! This is basically how it's going to work, and like I said, it's going to take some time and effort, but I think I can make it happen. All 30 teams will be replaced as you know them. 18 teams from the United States New York (Long Island) New Jersey (Trenton) Florida (Orlando) Michigan (Ann Arbor) Ohio (Columbus) Missouri (Jefferson City) Mississippi (Jackson) California (San Jose) Nevada (Carson City) Washington (Spokane) Illinois (Springfield) Indiana (Indianapolis) Kentucky (Lexington) North Carolina (Charlotte) Massachusetts (Cambridge) Tennesse (Knoxville) Arizona (Mesa) Texas (Austin) 2 teams from Canada Vancouver, BC Quebec, QC 2 teams from Asia China (Beijing) Japan (Tokyo) 4 teams from Europe Italy (Naples) England (London) Spain (Madrid) France (Paris) 2 teams from Central America Mexico (Mexico City) Guatemala (Guatemala City) 2 teams from South America Argentina (Buenos Aires) Brazil (Rio De Janeiro) Division Alignment There is no rhyme or reason as to why any of these teams/cities/countries were chosen, or what relation they have to real life baseball other than the fact that I wanted to spread the league around. As for the US teams, I wanted to combine the most populated areas (New York, California, Texas, etc.) with some states that do not even have a baseball team. That in particular may make it interesting. Keep in mind, there are only 30 teams to go around, so I had to draw the line somewhere. I am positive I've missed some highly baseball cultural areas. This will be a ficticious dynasty, take it for what it is. I'm currently working on aligning the divisions the best that I can. Some teams will be geographically out of place, especially the European and Asian teams that are in the east. To keep it balanced and competitive, again, I want to spread the teams throughout the divisions. I'm almost finished, and will post it later today. Up next, Roster Construction.. redsox
So Jay; tell me, how do I acquire this never ending pool of innovative ideas that you possess? To be honest, looks like its going to be one hell of job in trying to set up this dynasty, but once its up and running I am sure it WILL define the dynasty section for a long time. Looking forward to more updates on this idea.

Looking forward to more updates on this idea. If I could play baseball all year round, I'd do it. But yeah, it's going to be a job. BIG job setting it up. I've got 4 months (amost) until opening day. With everyone's help and feedback, I think it can be accomplished. It sounds near impossible right now, but we'll see how it goes. :)
JoeRudi26
Rosters This will be the most difficult part of the process, and one that could make or break this project. Here is the plan: I want to populate all 30 teams with members from the site; it will require: -25 players/site members for each team -each member will state what team/country they wish to join -any overflow on one team, I will assign that player to a different team -overflow assignment will be negotiable, and that player can choose another team of his choice pending an opening Personal Information Requirements: Name: First and last. This can be your real name, it can be fictional, but I will need both a first and a last name, not a singular moniker. If you wish to track your stats, you will need to remember what name you gave me, so I'll be able to pass it on to you. Height: Real or fictional Weight: Real or fictional Bat: Real or fictional Throw: Real or fictional Uniform Number: I will assign Position: I will assign *Optional*: Hair Color/Facial Hair/Skin Color (if not chosen, these attributes will be random* *assigning numbers and positions will tremendously cut down the process time, and halt any conflicts before they start. Think of it this way: You made the team, the coach decides where you will play, and eventually passes out the uniforms, without you knowing what number will be on the jersey. Hey, we've all been there, right? * As you know, there are not enough created players to go around, so most of what you see will be edited from existing players. Ratings and Attributes I thought about this for a long time, and can only come up with one way to make it fair for everyone. Here is the plan: Since all the players will be from the site, I've decided to base the ratings on post counts. The higher your post count you have at MVPMods, the higher your ratings will be at whatever position you are assigned. I'm working on a scale, and will be as fair as possible. *note - If I've missed anything on roster information, please post it in this thread. This is a 4 month WIP, and it's going to take some time* **I have the excel sheet ready, you are welcome to join at any time with the information required above** Next up, Uniforms.. redsox
Very interesting indeed. One thing you can do with the roster set is to actually start off with a blank .mbe file and create the players as they sign up. That way you wouldn't have to edit the players that are already part of a roster set. BTW, when are you expecting people to sign up for the teams? Nameless
Wasn't sure if we could sign up or not so I just put it down just incase.. Name: Willy Johnson (Used that name in OTPBB leagues so why not) Height: 6'2 Weight: 225 Bat: Switch Throw: Right I'm really digging the idea. Don't know how it came upon but sounds amazin so far. Anyway heres my player. Too bad I'm new here and my ratings will suck but I don't care..haha

JoeRudi26
Uniforms I will be modding all 30 uniforms. Completely original and ficticious. I may post some screen shots as I go for reviewal or simply for feedback. United States Home Uniforms Will bear the name of the mascot, not the city example for New Jersey: Revolution Away Uniforms Will bear the name of the state only example for New Jersey: New Jersey Europe Home Uniforms Will bear the name of the mascot, not the city example for Spain: Matadors Away Uniforms Will bear the name of the country, not the city example for Spain: Spain Universal Alternate Uniforms Away will bear the name of the city example for New Jersey: Trenton example for Spain: Madrid Alternate Uniforms Home will bear the name of the mascot example for New Jersey: Revolution example for Spain: Matadors **I'll do my best with logos, as this may be the most time consuming, but not particularly the most important**
JoeRudi26
Stadiums Assigned Stadiums for each team will be random. I haven't put much thought into this yet, and I have many options to choose from. I will probably decide for each team as the team's character starts to develop, ie, players, unis, colors, country, etc.. I haven't installed the MVP07 Mod, so I should be able to assign individual stadiums. Not a big process, but one that will be thought out to best fit the particular team in terms of character and location.
JoeRudi26
I'm working on the Division Alignments, and should be able to post them later this evening, with team mascot names. I'll keep this thread open until it's positive that this dynasty will get off the ground. Any and all feedback are welcome, and if you see something I've missed, please let me know. This is the first step to what is going to be a complex, interactive project. But again, it can be done.
