Seems like the Astros are on a sweet winning streak. What is it - 4, 5 game winning streak for them? Soriano and Lee are starting to produce and thats nice.

You're right, V. Houston is on a 5 game winning streak.

Soriano is coming around slowly, and Derrek Lee is starting to pick it up like he did in the first couple of weeks into the season.

What I didn't mention in the Post Game Report, was that Pie hit a towering shot in the bottom of the 11th to right center that just missed going out.

I missed a couple of good opportunities to put this one away.

Hey joerudi, quick q:

What are the specs of your PC? Those screenies are sweet as all hell :)

Thanks, but, for the most part, what you see in the screenies aren't what you see in the game.

But anyway:

OS- Windows XP Professional

CPU - P4 3.20 GHz (2 CPU's)

2 Gig Ram

Nvidia GeForce 7800GT (256 mb)

Thanks Mav. I had my chances to put this one away, just couldn't get the run across in the latter innings.

Sweet Lou must have definitely been furious with this game. BTW, where is he now-a-days? I wish he would start talking to the media again. Hopefully he is in good health  .

lol. We just came off a 4 game winning streak. Lou has been eh...'pacified'.

Losing 1 of 5 isn't cause for a ton of stress, but 2 in a row is a different story..

lol, there's the good 'ol Lou I know and love.

I still must say that your layouts are the best I have ever seen for a dynasty.

I just now worry that there will be several copy cat dynasties popping up. Whether they steal the exact design or make one of their own, I think there will probably begin to be some cookie cutter dynasties following this layout.

But all in all they are still kick butt layouts.

Nice job! Hopefully Patterson will help kick start the offense a little or maybe just provide some stability.

Thanks for all the positives, Mav. If anything, maybe this dynasty has inspired some people to do their own, and has given them some ideas to run with.

Yeah...ole Lou. He is a tirade waiting to happen. ;)

So much for Lou being "pacified" huh  ? Hopefully DeRosa can get back on track. I think you will need his bat later in the season and for your post season run.

I don't blame you for sending DeRosa down. He's not doing anything for me either.

Hope Patterson makes an impact for ya.

Jones is tearing it up for you, M. .367 and 3 HR's?

I wish he'd do HALF of that for me. ;)

Yeah, seems like I'm not trying to swing at everything with him.

Just started the second series with Cincy. Soriano had a great game. 2-4, 3B, 2 Rbi, SB

*Sorry JR, don't mean to hijack your thread with my stuff.

No prob, M. Maybe I need to take the same approach with some of my guys, like Floyd/Jones/Soriano.

I've just got to be more patient.

How do you get your screenshots looking so good then? I have the same specs (basically) as you and my screenies are plain compared to yours.

- Great Dynasty - Keep it up!

It's done with certain filters and lighting effects in Photoshop. It really depends on the pic, it changes each time.

How many game has Pie been with you for... he has a low BA

12 Games

34 At Bats

5 Hits

6 Stolen Bases

He's coming around slowly, and I'm hoping he improves. I'm going to keep him in the lineup for awhile and try to be patient with him at the plate.

I need his speed on the basepaths.

Hey JR, what are you other options at C? Barrett is not delivering for you. Is Blanco any better?
.

Soto

11 Games

.200

25 At Bats

Blanco is hitting .291 at AAA Iowa in 14 games. Barrett has improved a little. Very slowly.

I'm keeping my eye on Blanco, so as of now that would be my best option.
