philliesphan18
I'm not sure phils. I have the latest addition of Photoshop, but it should be possible. It's really basic, and it's no secret. For the pic that you're using: Go to Filter - Render - Lighting Effects In The Lighting Effects Box: Style - Default Light Type - Omni Set where you want your light Select OK Go to Edit - Fade Lighting Effects - Choose Overlay in drop down box Use slider for lighter or darker That's basically it. Play around with it until it looks good. And this method doesn't necessarily work for every picture, but it's a start. Hope this helps, and good luck! What version of Photoshop is the best/newest? And where can I get it for below normal cost? Thanks JR and keep up the awesome job!
JoeRudi26
What version of Photoshop is the best/newest? And where can I get it for below normal cost? Thanks JR and keep up the awesome job! I have Adobe Photoshop CS2, but I think there's another version already out. (CS3). The program is expensive (around 600 - 700 dollars), but for a beginner I would recommend Photoshop 7 or something similar. If I'm not mistaken, there is a program called GIMP that someone mentioned on here, and I believe you can download a free trial. I don't know anything about it really, except the it works basically the same way that Photoshop does. You can find the program at any office supply store, computer outlets, or possibly even game stores. I bought mine at Office Max here where I live. Anyway, hope this helps phils. JoeRudi26
if i update to CS3 from CS2 will i need to pay? I'm sure you will, but probably not as expensive as buying the whole new program. I've not looked into it, I honestly don't know.

Maestro23
Like the Series Wrap-up board JR. Also, great background on the Cub/Philly lineup template. *Getting ready to play my first series against St. Louis. I hate trying to navigate thru that lineup. :smokin:

I hate trying to navigate thru that lineup. :smokin: So far, the Braves and the Cardinals have been my toughest opponents. I've just finished my first game with the NL East leading Phillies, who have a very solid lineup as well. BTW, good job on the Atlanta sweep! redsox
Man, you just can't seem to catch a break with the injuries. Does this mean that Cedeno is going to be back at second playing everyday? Or is there a possibility of seeing Soriano back there again?
JoeRudi26
Man, you just can't seem to catch a break with the injuries. Does this mean that Cedeno is going to be back at second playing everyday? Or is there a possibility of seeing Soriano back there again? Second base seems to be a death trap. DeRosa bombs and then gets injured. Cedeno starts out strong, but slides. Theriot comes out firing, gets injured. Patterson was going to be the man -----injured. I'm almost afraid to put Soriano in that position. I've got Cedeno there now, with DeRosa coming off the DL (again) in 4 days. Basically, DeRosa hasn't had much time to gain any momentum, so he may be back at 2B when he gets back. Soriano is starting to come alive (it's about time), but Floyd is faltering in left field. 2nd base and the outfield have been the problems spots so far this season. I'm hanging around the top of the division, so hopefully a reconstruction at those positions may be finished by the end of May. BTW, I've brought Scott Moore up from AAA to fill Patterson's spot. lol, dead man walking? ;)
redsox
Well, you have one hell of a rotation/bullpen and they seemed to have kept you at the top. Are you thinking about a minor trade for second base - maybe an utility man? EDIT: I forgot that you are not making any deals unless it happens in real life. JoeRudi26
As you can see, Houston is catching fire, so I need to buckle down even more on the pitching. With Soriano finally getting on base, I'm going to take advantage of it while I can and be more aggressive on the base paths, let Lee and Ramirez do the dirty work. And yeah, no trades unless they happen in real life, unless I run out of players to put on the field. ;)
Maestro23
Man JR, looks like the Goat and Bartman are stalking both our dynasties. LOL I've got Izturis and Ramirez out. Called up Moore from Iowa also.

Called up Moore from Iowa also. As of now, my offense revolves around Ramirez. My run production would be minimal without him. It must be the Goat, M. Lou 'banned' Bartman from Wrigley before the season started. :phones:
Mav3rek
at least you're doing better than the real Cubs, injuries and all. What are your long term plans for 2nd?
philliesphan18
1st - Love the Phillies / Cubs background on the pre-game page. 2nd - What the world is up with Chris Coste leading off! 3rd - Can you trade for Barry Bonds and put him at 2nd base so he gets injured and doesn't break the record? - JK But really, I hope you find a good solution to your 2nd baseman woes. Thanks, phils! 2. I have no idea, I could use the team changer and 'fix' their lineups, but the computer would just make the same stupid moves again. From looking at their team (in my dynasty), I'd probably have Rollins in the 1 spot. 3. lol, I'll hold further comment until the accusations have been 'proven'. But believe me, I have my opinions. DeRosa, DeRosa, Derosa. That's my goal.

JoeRudi26
nice win. Thank God for that 6th huh? Barrett came through with a big 3 run homerun in the 6th. He must have heard Blanco's footsteps. Pat Burrell was on third base with 2 outs (6-5) in the bottom of the ninth. I thought for sure they would tie it up. *edit
JoeRudi26
Due to recent injuries (Patterson, Theriot, DeRosa), I've been forced to revamp the lineups once again. My goals are to have DeRosa solid at 2B, producing behind Lee and Ramirez in the batting order. Soriano's .OBP is drastically improving, and Izturis has been the best guy to move him around the basepaths so far. Again, I would rather have Pie higher in the lineup (spd rating 95), with DeRosa and Izturis in the lower half. I've moved Soriano to left, Pie in center, and will platoon lefty/righty matchups in right field with Floyd and Matt Murton, and Pie/Murton until Pie starts hitting with consistency. Soto will also be getting time behind the plate, platooning with Barrett. Newcomer Scott Moore (2nd base) will see right handed pitching, with Cedeno filling in to play against the lefties, at least until DeRosa returns.
