Funny, that's how my sex life started.

Careful what you fiddle with, it's rumored to be linked with poor eyesight.

But anyway..here's the lineup card for tonight. ;)

Way to go Prior. Good win JR.

*Just swept the Brew Crew in mine. Pitched 2 complete game shutouts. Thank the Baseball Gods because I couldn't hit for nothing.

Cool, I'll definately check it out. I've been to your page almost daily, and hadn't seen an update in a while.

Wow, last game had both pitchers going the distance. Keep it up jr.

Yeah, I think that's the first time I've seen that in my dynasty this year. To throw a complete game (Peavy), and only give up 2 runs would be one of the worst ways you could lose.

I can do you one better on that aspect. I was no-hit by Randy Johnson and he still ended up losing. I scored 2 runs in the first thanks to 3 walks, 3 errors, 1 wild pitch.

very nice dynasty. Ive noticed your guys arent hitting for a very high average.

It's been up and down at the plate this year, more 'down' than up. But yeah, you're right. Hopefully things get panned out by the All-Star break and guys are putting up consistant numbers.

Lee is about to get benched, he's been awful. There may be another Piniella shake down after the Pads series.

lol, the beauty of baseball. ESPN would have a field day with that one. "Johnson throws no-no in a losing effort".

Sounds like a Top Ten "Wierdest Outcome" nominee. :)

So true. I have had a whole lot of weird things happen in my dynasties. One thing that happens to me is that the computer always seem to find a way to spoil my chance at a no-hitter. I had come as close as no-hitting the opposing team for 8+ innings, but in that last inning the computer always gets a hit. But I will get one someday though. Hopefully it will happen with my current Red Sox dynasty.

BTW, hopefully Lee can pick it up and do something in the game against the Padres. My prediction is that DeRosa and Lee would be your key hitters. Both of them will combine for 3-4 hits. Lets see what happens.

Nice win. Looks like the Cubs are making strides to rule the NL Central for a while!

I've gotten through 6+ innings without getting hit, but no further than that. What I've noticed is how hard it is to sweep a series. If you're up 2-0, it seems the PC recognizes that and makes it harder to win that 3rd game. And vice versa, if you're down 0-2...and so on.

I've went as far as simming (not saving) the last game of a series, and whoever was up 2-0 lost 8 out of 10 times, on an average. I've done this multiple times just to test my 'theory'.

I'm not saying there's some sort of 'code', and I really don't care. Either way, it's keeps it pretty realistic.

Lee has been on a major slide since the beginning of May. A homerun here and there isn't going to cut it, and lately that's about all he's contributed.

Slumps:

Lee - Consistently hitting close to .300 until beginning of May

Izturis - Lost 25 points on his average in the last 4 weeks

Soriano - Got his average up to .265, sliding as of late (.245)

Improving:

Barrett

Floyd

DeRosa

Consistent:

Ramirez - Key to the offense since Opening Day

Pie - Low BA, hasn't gotten worse or better at the plate, but irreplaceable on the basepaths and in the outfield. He'll save more runs than he'll produce.
