This presentation actually makes the dynasty amazing. I'm liking the dynasty man! I'd have to scroll back a few twenty pages to catch up but it's all good. It looks really good man, it must take you quite awhile, unless you've made templates to follow. Good luck the rest of the way.

He has templates so it doesn't take as long.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I hope some people are enjoying it. And yeah, I have made templates for almost everything, except the actual pics of course, so it doesn't take too long. I can probably make a complete update within an hour.

These hitting woes have got to get better, so a move has been made by the Front Office. Not a blockbuster move, but one that hopefully will get the offense on track.

Stay Tuned ;)

Love the storyline JR. Haven't posted here in a while, but rest assured, I have been following along ;)

Thanks, fred. I wondered what had happen to you, I know you mentioned at some point you might start a dynasty, and I've kept my eyes open. ;)

I probably will, I was planning on mid-april, but school has been very hectic to say the least. Look for it in the coming weeks though ;)

and lets hope the cubs can start hitting a bit more Gracefully (please ignore my horrible jokes ;) )

lol, the beauty of baseball. ESPN would have a field day with that one. "Johnson throws no-no in a losing effort".

Sounds like a Top Ten "Wierdest Outcome" nominee. :)

Hey JR, thought I would share this with you. Hope you don't mind. This one was quite different. I got no-hit by the starter (though I had 1 hit for the entire game) and he still ended up getting the loss (Meche - 7 IN). I was able to score the only run thanks to a sac fly by Papi. Here is the box score.

In regards to your dynasty, I never expected a move like the one that you pulled with Grace. I was here thinking that you were going to be break your rule and actually trade for a player. Nice storyline man. Keep it up.

Wow, what a duel, and what a way to lose (Meche). I wonder if that's actually happened in real life.. It probably has, imagine how pis*ed you would be to no-hit the opponent and walk out with a loss.

As far as the 'Grace move', I had even considered Ryne Sandberg or Andre Dawson, but I decided to go with Grace because he's a pretty honest guy and he doesn't really 'mince' words.

Something to keep things interesting. If it weren't for the fact that the Cubs only trail Houston by a couple of games, Lou would have been outta his mind by now, I can assure you. ;)

Did anyone notice that the pic of Grace is actually at a Diamondback's press conference? Their old colors are in the background, and I actually had to cut out their logo on the wall behind him. ;)
Whoa! I wouldn't have even guessed that if you hadn't said anything. The colors look close enough to the Cubs' and you did a great job on the cutting out and blending of that logo. Props!

With the arrival of new hitting coach Mark Grace, the coaching staff got together and shuffled the lineup for the series against the Dodgers. Derrek Lee, who has been slumping since the end of April, will be sitting against Los Angeles, and Scott Moore, batting .364 in 6 games, will get the nod to start at first base. Felix Pie and Michael Barrett are moved up in the lineup, with DeRosa now hitting in the 9th spot.

Ronny Cedeno will start at shortstop to give Cesar Izturis the day off.

Nice twist on the personnel move. I seen something like this coming when I read one of your recent posts. Hope Grace can get the lumber mill going again. Good stuff JR.

Love the pic of Jackie on the latest lineup template. That is one of my favorite pics of him.

Still lovin this dynasty...and i just noticed that you are only a couple days ahead of real days in your dynasty(today is May 21 and your dynasty is May 25).

Thanks, redsfan. Yeah, I've been slowly letting the real schedule catch up with my dynasty schedule. I started out this year a few weeks ahead, but I usually play along with the real schedule every year.

IMO, when keeping real rosters, etc., it makes it interesting to follow the real life counterparts.

I'm not sure if many people play this way, but this is how I've always done it. ;)

Yeah i have always wanted to play the games so they are exactly up to date with the season, but i play it on a non-modded xbox so i dont get the chance, playing the same schedule over and over each year gets boring.

if the Cubs make a real life trade, do you then make it in the game also?

I make all the real life trades. I check out ESPN's Transaction page on a daily basis. I rarely mess with other teams lineups, call ups, send downs, but I DO make every trade, or when a certain player is picked up off waivers from another team.

For example, last Friday Arizona claimed infielder Jason Smith off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays; and designated pitcher Casey Daigle for assignment. I make that transaction, sending down Daigle for Smith.

When keeping accurate rosters, to me it's essential to the team. Again for example, when Clemens went with back with the Yankees, he is sure to have an impact on that team, and wins or losses can depend on the schedule. I wouldn't want to wait until June to sign him, he could've helped the Yankees way before then.

I've tweaked all 30 teams to get their best possible results, but the PC has it's own 'mind', so I don't even worry about it anymore. It doesn't stay the same for long.

I wish it would.

Anyway, I try to keep it as realistic as possible, hence hiring Mark Grace instead of a player.
