Looks like I get to make the 1000th post in this thread.

Anyway, I like these in-game updates. They are very well done - but I guess there is no surprise there. Too bad to see DeRosa being sent down. I had made a bold prediction about him hitting over .300 rest of the way (after he came back from his injury). Looks like that may not happen. Anyway, take care bud.

I remember that prediction, V, and DeRosa DID start off pretty decent right after he came off the DL. He slid again, and pretty much stayed there.

Looks like I'll be platooning Fontenot and Cedeno for awhile now, at least until this outfield gets solid enough to move Soriano back to 2B.

Good luck with those moves JR.

*Pie is having a good day against the Crew today though. 3-5, 3-run HR, single, double Luckily the game is on WGN today.

Yeah, I'm lucky enough to work at home and I've had the game on. I just walked in the room when he hit the blast to right center.

Hardy is having a nightmare game. He should have home today. :)

I figured out why DeRosa is struggling so much and why he's been injured, he's thinking about his wife, and wants to spend more time with her....

lol.

Shame to see Pie go, hopefully 2B will get straightened out for you. It's been a pitfall for me in my Padres dynasty also.

Chr*st, is that his wife??

I'd be on the DL as much as possible if I was him. :rocklicker:

Do you have anyone productive at SS in the minors? If so you could move Izturis/that person to second and have the other start at short.

Anyhow, one way or another I hope your secondbase woes are solved.

Not really, but that has crossed my mind. Izturis has been solid all year really, a great contact guy.

If something gels, I wouldn't be opposed to making that move.

wow, sheets has shut you down so far...10 K's...

Absolutely mowed down. No wonder he's 7-1. The good news is that Floyd just homered in the top of the 9th.

I'm up 2-1, with Dempster warming up.

I faced him on April 8th, and April 24th, and he's beat me both times. He's got some nasty stuff.

This is much more exciting than following the real Cubs. :)

Excellent job man.

lol, thank you sir. With the money they spent in the offseason, and getting Lou 'the motivator', I honestly didn't think they would be having problems like they are having.

But hey, we might get to see 'these' Cubs in the post season. :)

Poor Hardy.

Glad to see Mr. Floyd step up with the big hit.

That poor b*stard had a bad day all around, didn't he? lol

Floyd seems to show up just at the right moments.
