That would be a sweet move indeed. BTW, how is he doing in your dynasty? I always like to play with him just because of his swing.

Good question, redsox. I looked him up:

Griffey - 68 games/.262 BA/12 HR/40 RBI

Not exactly burning a path to the NL MVP, but not bad at all. Definately better numbers than Floyd has put up. And if in fact this comes to fruition, and Floyd stays in Chicago, it's likely he'll DH when appropriate and ride the pine the rest of the time.

And yeah, he's got a beautiful swing. Other 'sweet swings' I always liked watching:

Daryl Strawberry

Will Clark

Rafael Palmiero

Another game decided by 1-run. I can just hear and see the steam coming out of Lou's ears - I am pretty sure he is going to blow pretty soon right?

Also, was than an extra inning affair - Jenks pitching for 3 innings.

And BTW, Griffey should definitely be a huge upgrade over Floyd in this dynasty.

Yeah, these 'one' runners are killing Lou and the Cubbies. It's more often than not that they come out on the losing end.

I've honestly about had it with Floyd anyway, I've given him MORE than his fair shot as a starter. I'm all for Griffey coming to Chicago. At least I would have some offense between him, Ramirez, and Lee. That is, if one of those guys aren't involved in the transaction.

If Floyd doesn't produce this series, he's probably done for a long time.

Im speechless! ! ! I really enjoy reading this one. Simply put, the best presentation bar none! ! ! I cant do any of this stuff on photoshop, so Im not even attempting it. This is truly alot of work, but you do a great job. Now if you can just turn those one run losses into wins :)

Too bad you lost to the Sox today, the background on the Lineup card looks amazing.

Thanks, H. I've actually went ahead and played the whole series against the White Sox, in case I coudn't find the time this weekend.

They are the BEST 29-41 team I think I've ever faced. It wasn't pretty. :(

Thanks for the compliment on the card, actually it was a throw together. Pretty simple. I got my a@@ handed to me on the South Side.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I can speak for the entire MVPmods community when I say this is an incredible presentation. We all appreciate your hard work that makes this dynasty what it is. I enjoy coming to this thread everyday and reading how the cubbies are doing. Keep it up man.

JR, along with this fantastic dynasty, I have to say, you're pretty much responsible for the onslaught of dynasties that have been started since this. In my time here, I've never seen so many dynasties start in such a short amount of time :)

Thanks, Hokie. I appreciate the kind words. Along with my dying love for the game itself, and just being able to share my 'season' with anyone who wants to follow, it's posts like these that keep it going.

Thanks again. :)

Hey JR, Cubs/Sox WGN. Rain Delay right now, they hope to have 1st-pitch about 12:30 though.

*Finished up the SD series. Bowen hit his 1st HR as a Cubbie in his last at-bat in Game 3. What a way to say farewell to the San Diego faithful. Working on the update now.

I hope that's a good thing, Fred. There are many, and the variety lately is pretty expanded. From strokes to plane crashes. :)

The imagination is a wonderful thing. ;)

Thanks, M. I saw your post about it in another thread, and again, I didn't even realize they were on. Saturday morning and kids keep a guy pretty busy.

Thanks for the headsup, nothing like watching the Cubbies on a Saturday afternoon.

Can you hear it?? I could have swore the Bud Light was calling my name. :rocklicker:

Yep, it's calling. Man, you said it... Saturday afternoon, Game coming on, and some brew. Doesn't get any better. :wtg:

JR, did you see Soriano's lead-off HR. Just like yesterday, except to rightfield. Why can't he do that for me.

I hear ya, M. He's fallen into a slump for me. Dropped about 20 points on his average lately.

Looking at your page, his numbers in my dynasty were about the same at that point, just not quite as many HR's. Not long after, he turned it around completely. His average was around .270 and he was taking the ball out of the park. He's sitting on about 12 HR's right now.

Like you said though, I'd like to see him play like his real life counterpart right now. :)

*EDIT- I just saw your edit on Bowen. He homered against the Pads?

You HAD to be loving that. :)

Oh man, it felt so good. Chris Young tried to do a jam-job on me and I guessed right. Turned on that bad boy and parked it into the 2nd deck in right field. The stadium went dead. Didn't even give me a replay.

I think I'm going to start him for the whole 3-game series against the Dodgers coming up.
