JoeRudi26
Glad to hear he's working out for you. In the 4 games he's started for me, he's 3-13 with an RBI. Not bad, considering the 3 game set against the Sox was a complete disaster. He wasn't the only one left standing at the plate. In the final game against the Sox, the game was tied 4-4 in the top of the 9th, and Pie hit an absolute rocket to right field, couldn't have been more than 15' off the ground at it's highest peak. Dye was playing deep, took about 8 steps back, turned around, and snagged it a foot and a half over the wall. My luck, Dye stands about 6'5", or it might have gotten out. Needless to say they came back and I lost ANOTHER one run game. Like you, I took 2 of 3 from them at Wrigley. US Cellular was an entirely different story. I couldn't buy a break. ;)

redsox
Man, it seems like you may have to alter your goal yet again. Just can't believe you got swept. I am going to take a wild guess and say that there are going to be some changes in the roster yet again?

Hope's not lost though, my goal was (and still is) to be at LEAST 8 games or under by the All-Star Break. I've got Colorado, Milwaukee, Washington, and Pittsburgh next on the schedule. Perfect timing to make a push and gain some ground.
JoeRudi26
Man, it seems like you may have to alter your goal yet again. Just can't believe you got swept. I am going to take a wild guess and say that there are going to be some changes in the roster yet again? That 29-41 record completely fooled me. I went in expecting to win at least two of three, and I got totally surprised. Thome, Dye, and Konerko was unstoppable. I couldn't stop the bleeding in each game. I finally had to just start pitching around Thome. The downfall in their record is their pitching, mediocre at best. When they DID get to Jenks, it was over. I might as well not even brought a bat up to the plate. 101 mph fast ball, and a devastating curveball. There was no chance to comeback when he made it to the mound. With that said, I still have the same goal, and my schedule is (finally) starting to lighten up. I WILL be closer to the Stros by Mid July. Floyd is gone. Period. Other than a minute flash of brilliance over 3 games, he's been a no show all season. He's Iowa bound, but I haven't decided who'll fill his spot. Soriano is slumping, he couldn't hit a bull in the a@@ with a banjo right now, and Izturis has weakened as well. But you're right, there won't be MAJOR changes per se, but with the light spot in the schedule, expect to see some different names in the lineup. Scott Moore has been lights out. He may just be starting at 2nd base after his DH stint through Interleague Play.
Maestro23
Man JR, stay out of the South side. I hear ya on Jenks, man he comes up there with nothing but high octane. Don't blame you on Floyd. If he'd spend more time studying pitchers than checking out the honey's in the club, he might now being going to Iowa. He's in for a rude awakening.. there's nothing to do in Iowa. With that upcoming schedule though, you should be able to get the lumber mill going.

I know the feeling all too well here in Indiana. At least down there he can concentrate on the 'other' lumber. :rocklicker:

TwentySeven
You can't just send Cliff Floyd to AAA. He has to be DFA'd first, and then you have to offer free agency to him. Just so you know...

JoeRudi26
Heads up JR. Cubs/Sox on WGN. Getting ready to start. Thanks, M. Yeah, I checked the schedule this morning. The first two games have been good ones, hopefully the Cubbies can complete the sweep. Now, if I can peel the boy from God of War II, I'll get my T.V. back. :)

redsox
You know that is one sick lineup card. The lighting effects were used perfectly. Also, I am looking at this lineup and your middle and bottom order just down right sucks. Its like the opposing pitcher would only have to worry about the top 4 in the lineup and the bottom 5 are going to be automatic outs. But this is fun though. Lets see how many games you win. BTW, I like the fact that you sent down Floyd. Not a big fan of his.
