Ouch. Problems late in the game. I know those all too well. C'mon JR, you can do it.

Talk about frustrating. I thought this one was in the bag.

Oh well, here we go..

That was one hell of a victory you pulled there Jay. I guess this is the best time for you to gain some ground on the Astros considering the fact that you will be facing below .500 teams right?

Definately, redsox. After losing 4 straight, I considered this game a must win. It's early, but Houston keeps winning, so I need each and every win that I can muster up.

And you're right, the schedule looks pretty weak for the next 12 upcoming games.

Here's how it looks:

Colorado - 34-42 (2 more games)

Milwaukee - 34-43 (3 games)

Washington - 35-42 (4 games)

Pittsburgh - 31-46 (3 games)

After the Pittsburgh series, I'll meet up with Houston, and hopefully I will have gained enough ground to battle for the division lead.

It's going to be interesting.

There shouldn't be a reason you don't win at least 9 of those games.

Let's go Cubbies!!!! (wait, did I really just say that? lol)

Here's hoping you can win at least 9 and close that gap on Houston and push them back into 2nd where they belong! :pals:

Thanks, Mav. And you're right, I SHOULD be able to knock out most of those wins.

And yeah, let's go Cubbies! (I'm sort of getting used to saying that too) :)

Start at game 1 and move on to the end. Watch out for the Rockies' lineup. They may surprise you with some shots onto Waveland.

They surprised me enough late in the first game. I'll definately be on my guard now.

A 13 game streak would definitely be nice. I hope that you get to the WS and that you get to face Boston. And I hope the same thing happens in my dynasty as well. That would be one hell of a WS matchup for sure. The Cubs are doing a wonderful job in my dynasty.

That would be one exciting WS for sure. Like I've said though, through all the years I've played my seasons, I've only been there 3 times, and this is more than likely due to the fact that I stick with realistic rosters and I won't restart a game if I'm losing.

Realistic sliders are another factor, and I'm sure there are better 'players' out there altogether. But it's the 'content' of the season, and not necessarily due to a scripted outcome.

I play each game, one by one, just like they do in real life. That's the way I get the most enjoyment out of a season.

With all that being said, I'm going to do my dam*dest to make it to the playoffs this year. The Cubbies have provided me with one of the most enjoyable seasons I've played up to this point.

I'm down in the division right now, and having something to 'fight' for makes it even better.

*EDIT - Out of those 3 trips to the WS, sad to say, I have never won one. Hopefully, this is the year.

Nice job on that extra innings winner. The Rockies offense is no joke be very careful. Don't even look at records. Gives you a false sense of security.

Remember what happened againts the WSox...

You couldn't have said it better, ALB. I resorted to walking Todd Helton with 2 outs in extra innings because of this very reason.

And, the 29-41 (at the time) White Sox may have been a blessing in disguise. I'm taking nothing for granted from here on out.
