hopefully the astros can cool off, but you do still have a lot of time to catch up so hopefully you can

Thanks, rf776. I feel like I'm walking on eggshells each and every game. Houston has got into my head. :headache:

JR, Heads up. Cubs/Brewers WGN today @ 1:20

Man, if we could sweep this series...

Thanks, M. Yeah, I saw them listed for 2:20, figured that was Eastern Time.

They're still behind 7 1/2 games (Milwaukee) in the standings...sound familiar? :)

But I'm tellin ya M, these guys are getting fun to watch. I hope they continue the roll. :)

Joe...don't tell me you made that yourself with a pic out of the game.

In other news, I am going to start a series against those Astros at Minute Maid. Let's see if I can learn how to hit with a righty.

lol, no. I actually found it googling something else. I have no idea what it comes from, although I did spice it up a little.

Good luck against those 'Stros. I hope somebody can bring them down. :)

Hey JR, did you see the Cubbies take the Brewers today? That latest template is money. :wtg:

Also, the Marlins update is posted in my Dynasty. Haven't figured out a way to adapt the "mag" for over here yet though.

Yep, I watched it, M. Good to see Piniella (post game) in a good mood. Strange but, the Marlins owned me too, in fact, I think they swept me in this same series you just completed. Game 2 looked like a wild one. :joystick:

I'm tellin ya, M, that page is rockin! It gets better every time I visit, and the write ups are some A1 work.

You know, you might opt for that 'home job' if you find your way into writing professional sports columns.

BTW, trying to shake them 'Stros looks to be contagious. :)

Thanks for the compliments JR. Writing never was, is not, nor never will be my strong suit.

I just try to capture what goes on in my games and make things interesting. Man, that game 2 was one of the most entertaining games I think I've played on MVP. When they jumped on my for those quick 5, and I wasn't hitting anything, I almost just put it on cruise control. Then we started to chip away and I said "Hey, I might have a shot."

When Blanco hit that 3-run bomb in the 6th, I think my neighbors heard be yell with joy. Had to grab a another beer after that one. That joy quickly went to anger/frustration when they lit Wood up for 3 big runs in the next inning. I can't tell ya how many times that has happened to Kerry. :headache:

Thanks again man. I hope I can adapt the magazine to post it over here.

mlb 2k7? I'll take your word for it, redsfan. Like I said, I swiped the pic in a flurry of google searches and it just stood out at me. :)

In reality, it's ironic that this dynasty is called "beyond the ivy". Apparently beyond the ivy at wrigley is that big brick wall they've been running into for the past 99 years or so. But this year's actually looking good.

Interesting observation. I never thought of it that way. Funny, nonetheless.

But who knows, maybe that's actually where they buried Bartman's remains. :rocklicker:

Yeah, not sure who the opposing catcher (team) was in that pic, I had to try and squeeze a National's Logo on his helmet. :)

With that said, although the graphics look great, I'll probably never play another console baseball game ever again. :)

I wouldn't say that they're so poor necessarily, but PC Baseball games that I have played are able to be modded to your liking.

I'm not just talking about graphics, but the gameplay in particular. I found this out in the old High Heat days when you could edit the Tune File to exactly how you wanted the game to play.

Console games may be able to be modded these days, but (at least from what I've seen) not near as in depth as the PC games.
