rookie_rick
I wouldn't say that they're so poor necessarily, but PC Baseball games that I have played are able to be modded to your liking. I'm not just talking about graphics, but the gameplay in particular. I found this out in the old High Heat days when you could edit the Tune File to exactly how you wanted the game to play. Console games may be able to be modded these days, but (at least from what I've seen) not near as in depth as the PC games. Yea, I miss my High Heat 2004 my dad lost the disk and i had to delete it because i had to format my comp. Btw super dynasty as it always has been. Btw super dynasty as it always has been. Thanks for the compliments, rick. Actually, HH 2001 and HH 2002 were probably my favorites. (mouse support, drag and drop stats, etc..) But with all the work that these guys have put into MVP, this is by far the best PC Baseball game I've ever played. My opinion, of course.

Yea i have to agree with you, If it wasn't for all the hard wor these guys put in i would get bored of MVP like i did before i luckily stumbled across this site. Plus all the great dynasties as well brings a new element to the game as well.
JoeRudi26
That catcher is actually the Nats look at the top of the mask Actually, I put the Nat's logo on the helmet for the upcoming series. I found the original pic, and now that I look closer, it turns out it was the Cards. Here's the pic:

JoeRudi26
the game looks almost tooo real for my liking... if that makes sense If it could look like that, and play the way MVP plays, I'd have to give it a shot.

redsfan776
i am glad you went back to the baseball tonight template, because there is just somethin about it that makes it look great, maybe its the background, and this might be the series that you might be able make up some ground against the astros

JoeRudi26
Thanks guys. If I'm going to hold on to my goal by the All-Star Break, I have to beat down whoever gets in my path. J. Williams didn't have much to speak of, so I took full advantage while I had the opportunity. I need some sweeps. M, I spruced up the stadiums a bit with some shadows and lighting, but other than that whoever modded it did an excellent job. I actually had fun playing in one of the 'ole cookie cutters. I was just at your page, and I found a 'small' idea I'd like to swipe from you. Your 'Head to Head Matchups' are money, and of course I'd do it in my own style. Nothing too major, but after learning how to navigate that page, it's almost like I'm uncovering something new everyday. Man, it's those old Zelda games all over again. :joystick:

I'd like to see what you come up with. Yeah, navigating that page at first can be tricky. You know, if we could combine your uber Photoshop skills with my "cub" reporter writing, we might have something.
JoeRudi26
out of curiosity - who is leading in HRs? and has Bonds hit 756 yet? AL - David Ortiz (20 HR) NL - Morgan Ensberg (20 HR) *Aramis Ramirez 2nd in NL (19 HR) *Derrek Lee 3rd in NL (18 HR) Barry Bonds .304/4/25 I haven't checked the details on Bonds yet, but he's either been hurt, not playing, or he's walking one hell of alot. I'll update it later in my dynasty.

I want him to retire feeling ashamed that he didn't reach Aaron's record. It's good to see that your two big bats are hitting well. Good luck on chasing the 'stros. :)
JoeRudi26
Thanks, Zito. I hadn't checked in awhile, and didn't realize Ramirez and Lee were that high on the NL Leaders board. The only way I'll actually 'play' the All Star game is if somebody from the Cubs make it. Other than that, I'd probably just sim it. As far as Bonds, I have no idea what's going on. I'll have to do some detective work. :)

ChicagoCubs720
CHI @ WAS - July 2 Boxscore/Play by Play awesome pic I have a question, what grass mod are you using? I always hated the way the RFK grass was in MVP and it looks like somebody fixed it.
JoeRudi26
I'm actually using raindelay's grass changer, CC. I love the new grass mod the other guys made this year, but it still gives me a hint of that 'flicker', so I don't use it. But keep in mind, these pics are filtered using PS, so the grass may differ just a bit in the game.

I know but the old RFK outfield grass followed a really weird pattern (like the way they had it when the Senators played there): can someone tell me if Trues and Big O fixed this in their grass changer mod?
