Good series JR. Good to see DeRosa and Bowen doing well. Man, I can't wait till that Houston series after the break.

Me either, M. There's 12 games left to play with them this year, I just hope I don't need every last one of them.

If I set the goal high enough to win the division, I might just land in a Wild Card slot.

I've played both the Mets AND the Astros this year, and I don't look forward to facing either one of them. ;)

It just seems like every time you win a game, Houston wins one as well. The same in my dynasty. I am currently on a 6 game winning streak and I have extended the lead in those games by a total of 1/2 game.

But it seems like you got everything clicking. DeRosa is coming around and so is Lee. I just hope that my prediction becomes reality (DeRosa hitting over .300 for the rest of the season).

Man, those 'Stros just don't stop. You've definately got your work cut out for you, but it is also one of the most enjoyable features of your dynasty. It makes it so much more fun to check in and see you fightin' for the division, rather than being 34 games up on the 2nd place team.

I hope you're right, V. What a surprise DeRosa has been, especially with this surge of power. It'll take some time to get there, but having DeRosa in the lineup adds another 'veteran', if you want to call him that.

Either way, there's no doubt he's even hitting the ball harder than he was in the beginning of the year. Whether or not the game codes hot/cold streaks, I know I'm not imagining it.

At least for the time being, I've found a decent chemistry with this lineup, and the wins are starting to prove it.

Yeah, I'm tellin ya Mav, these guys are on fire. I'll play a whole series before even checking in on them, I don't need the added pressure of knowing I HAVE to win to gain a game on them.

It's not too late. There are 85 games left, and as you know it could go either way. If their streak continues, at some point I may have to stop looking up, and start fighting for a Wild Card spot.

Hopefully not, but at least there's plan B. :)

Absolutely, Pudge. As a matter of fact, I was just going through some old templates and updating some things.

I would definately appreciate it. :)

Hey jr, dont worry, you will catch those 'stros. The great thing is that you are very close to the Wilcard race, only half a game back!

Thanks for the words of confidence, H. Houston is like a runaway train right now. They're 26 (yes, 26!) games over .500, 8-2 in their last 10, and show no signs of slowing down.

The whole team is batting around .305, and they've got some power to boot. Not to mention Oswalt has already won his 12th game of the season.

They're facing the Mets for 3 games just before the All-Star Break, so all I have to do is beat Pittsburgh these next 3 games, and I'll gain some ground somewhere.

BTW, sorry to see you're having so much trouble getting your dynasty started, I'm still definatetly looking forward to it. :)

how are the pads doing in your dynasty?

San Diego

40-44

10 Games behind 1st place Dodgers (51-35)

7 Games back in the Wild Card race

I'll be posting the full league standings after the 3 game set with the Pirates, just before the All-Star Break.

Great looking line up card. Hope you can beat the Bucs and gain a game or two on the Astros

Good Luck

Thanks, rick. I'm not taking anything for granted, but if their record indicates a cake walk, I'm going to stomp them while they're down.

I've titled this series: No Mercy :shotgun:

A jinx cant stop your Cubs from pounding the sorry looking Pirates.

...and rick just removed it.

Seriously though, they shouldn't be much of a problem, but the trip to Florida earlier in the year still haunts me.

Yea but Florida is a team that can play great and humiliate many top teams..The Pirates don't have that much talent :p
