Maestro23
Hey JR, did you see Soriano's going to be out at least 2 weeks, more likely a month. Someone has got to step up big time now.

I hadn't heard the details yet, but that's not good for the Cubbies. Wonder who will replace him. I think DeRosa's stint in the outfield might have been short lived. Soriano's down, Bullpen is shaky... :headache: Here's the Soriano article: http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/article.j...t=.jsp&c_id=chc
Pudge77
I hope Pie gets called up again then that would be a young Outfield Pagan + Pie - Floyd lol
JoeRudi26
I hope Pie gets called up again then that would be a young Outfield Pagan + Pie - Floyd lol Pie would have been my first guess, but who knows. Through 53 games at Iowa, he's hitting .359/9/41 with 9 stolen bases. With numbers like that, it's probably just a matter of time before he's in the bigs for good. Too bad he couldn't produce like that this year. But like I said, he would be my first guess.
MetsReyes777
I have always had respect for Cubs fans. MOST of the fans at last nights game gave Tommy Glavine a standing ovation as he left and that shows dignity and respect for the game. A few fans were being dumb holding up signs like, "Not Tonight Glavine", or "Wait Until Your Next Start". Chicago is a good baseball city. *EDIT* JR, how can I give thanks for this topic? I'd like to give thanks to it because it has 148 pages and has always been a great dynasty!

MR777 - I'm not sure how long you've been here, but I'm actually an A's fan, and just decided to do something different this year and go with the Cubbies. I've always 'sort of' liked them, but in all honesty since I've paid so much attention to them this year, there's no doubt I'm a fan of theirs. I'm pulling for them all the way this year, with Piniella there, this Cub's team reaks of personality, and with their eh....'non' winning tradition, it's hard not to like them. At least for me. With that said, there are all kinds of fans out there that are going to go either way. For the most part, I thought the Chicago fans were pretty respective of Glavine, given they were losing and still fighting for that top spot in the Central. And on the other hand, there will always be idiots out there no matter what stadium you're in. I've got my own reservations about Glavine, but I'll stay neutral here. BTW, there used to be a Thanks Button at the top of the page. I really appreciate you asking, but I have no idea how to do it. But thanks anyway! :)

Hey M, there are Cub's fans everywhere, especially now that they're closing in on the top spot. I figured there might just be some in Texas too. :rocklicker:

JoeRudi26
Nice win! Tied with Houston! Not quite, Phils. If you look at their records on the Division Watch Board, I'm still one game back. I'll post standings sometime this week. As good as Houston has been this year, I've suprisingly handled them pretty easily. It's been a long road, but I'm starting to finally see some daylight. :)
MetsReyes777
JR, how do you get those lighting effects on your pictures? Do you use CS2? Cause that's what I have and I looked everywhere and I couldn't find it!

Cause that's what I have and I looked everywhere and I couldn't find it! Yep, I've got CS2. This is how it's done: Filter - Render - Lighting Effects In the Style Drop Down Box, select Default In the Light Style Drop Down Box, select Omni Place your light where you want it Select OK Edit - Fade Lighting Effects - Drop Down Box - Select Overlay Fade the light until it suits you That's it. Hope it helps. :)
JoeRudi26
Good win JR. Nice shot of Soriano. Love it. :wtg: Thanks, M. I'm hanging in there. I'm 9-3 through this rough part in the schedule (Philly, NYM, Hou), and hopefully I can pull off the sweep and snag a first place tie with the Astros. I honestly would have guessed to I'd get through it playing .500 ball, which I would have even considered a small success. So far so good, but the NL East is tightening up as well, from the way it looks, the Mets will be in first place before long, and Philly will be looking at the Wild Card. The only missing link was the lighting effect on the pictures, but now I have it. Thanks again JR, you are always there to help. Take care. These first two games at Houston have been cake walks. I can't believe how easy it's been to beat a team that's been rolling the rest of the league for over 4 months. BUT...I'm knocking on wood and looking for the sweep and a first place tie today. :wtg:
