I just had to pop in to tell you what a great job you're doing, Joe. I lost 3 or so hours of my life reading through this thing in it's entirety. Every picture from game shot to box score is beautiful. And the interviews, as few as there ahve been recently, are all extremely well done. I'm really pulling for your guys in Colorado.

And on the topic of the game tonight, can someone please tell me why Lou continues to have big Z pinch hit? It was cute the first few times, but we have to have someone better on that bench.

Thank you Kael, I really appreciate the compliments. As you know (from reading the dynasty), I play a season (manually, accurate rosters) each year, and this year I wanted to share each game with whoever wanted to follow.

I don't post polls, I don't lobby for attention, and I certainly don't put anyone else down for the way they play the game, or for those who post dynasties, I certainly don't question how they present and see the game for themselves.

I merely wanted to share my own baseball experience (even if through a video game) the way that I see it.

As for interviews, the Cubs schedule has been hectic, and between getting the games in and trying to present the dynasty in a somewhat readable fashion, I simply haven't had time to dig into the front office dwellings.

But I will. :) We have a day off on the 13th of August, and I plan to take advantage of it and have Lou (and Gracie) reflect on the team and it's performance over the last few weeks.

As for Z, I guess Lou figured the 10-2 lead was safe enough, but who knows about Lou.

Yeah M, it turned into a free-for-all. 31 hits, including 4 HR, 3 doubles, and a triple.

It was madness I tell ya.. :wall:

Definately. Not sure how long you've been following, but I've personally been strapped for time since around the first week of July. I've got family from Europe staying in my house, and it's been a b*tch just trying to play a game each day, and get some sort of recap or post cap for that matter.

BUT!!!! :)

The Cubs have a day off (Aug 13th) the same day that they all depart back to Norway. After that, I should have plenty of time to get everything up to date.

If and when I make the playoffs, the days off in between should also give me plenty of time to possibly create some new boards that will exceed anything I've done to this point. Of course, the game itself is more important, but it's always fun to present it as best I can.

Question-JR How do you get the grass to look like that? Is it a game setting?

Nah man, I'm just a simple white boy from Indiana. The wife is Norwegian. :)

The grass is from raindelay7's mod, I think it might just be the lighting that gives it a different look.

With all due respect to raindelay7, I love the new grass and dirt mod, but I still get a slight shimmer whenever I use it. I can't use it, but I wish I could.

Thanks for the link, M. Actually, I've been away for a couple of days and hadn't seen it. I'm definately going to stick him in the lineup immediately. With the problems I've had in the outfield (Pagan, Pie, Murton, even Floyd), I've got nothing to lose by giving him a shot.

As far as the updates, I'm going to be busy for the next few days getting the Norwegians back to Norway :), so I will update the Rockies series in the Series Board that I've used in the past.

I'll be able to get my games in, but it's going to be hectic for the next few days. After all is said and done, I'm digging in with both feet to get these Cubbies to the playoffs, and hopefully some creative presentations.

Ok, I've been back from the airport for awhile, got the family back across the pond, and I've spent most of the day trying to get back up to date. I've played the first 3 games of the 4 game set at Colorado, and it's not been pretty so far.

After squeaking out the win in game 1 (9-8), I've lost the next two.

Game 1 - Chicago 9, Colorado 8

Game 2 - Colorado 9, Chicago 6

Game 3 - Colorado 3, Chicago 2

I'll finish up the series with Colorado later tonight, and should be back to posting routinely by tomorrow.

As of right now, here is my placement in the standings:

2 1/2 Games Back of Houston

1 game ahead in the Wild Card Race

With Houston losing a couple, and the Mets slowly gaining, it's still relatively tight to this point.

The Cubbies could use a much needed win tonight, and then back home to Wrigley to get back on schedule, and face the visiting Reds.

I've been busy myself man, just got back to my Dynasty last night. Played the 1st-series against Houston after the break. Let's just say, they have slipped in the standings. Update is posted. :smile:

If we get some time this winter, and if you have it in you, we should think of combining something special for next season.

Is that a Ryan Theriot cyberface on the front page? If it is, I've somehow missed it. Just curious. Keep up the fantastic work, M. :)

Still a work in progress though. Yeah man, I've always said that if we could combine my writing and your PS skills... it would be dynamite. We will definately have to come up with something this winter. Count me on-board.
