Wow, that really sucked, JR. That leadoff walk and HR really came around to hurt you.

It sure did, apr. They loaded the bases with Pujols up too, but somehow I managed to get out of it.

Carpenter was on. His stuff was mixed up well, and very precise on the corners. I MIGHT have seen 3 good pitches to hit, but he kept me off balance so well I guessed wrong every time.

JR, we'll see who finishes up with better numbers. A-Ram or Utley. After tonight's game, it's rather close. I'll post my recap soon.

Utley's on fire, x.

Can he hit 50 this year? :)

Tought loss JR.

Dam* Rain Delay at Wrigley is killing me. Oh well, I'll just grab another beer.

I hear ya, M. It's beer thirty, and my wife wants to drag me to Evansville, and it's just getting underway.

But hey, that's what car radio's and coolies are made for, eh? :)

Her driving, of course. :)

Pujols just wouldn't be denied. You can pitch him many places and expect him not to hit them out.

You're definately right, x. The first pitch he hit out was a low breaking ball on the outside part of the plate. Not even sure if it was a strike. The second homerun was a curveball high and tight. I jammed him and he still took it to right center field.

I've pretty much held my ground against St. Louis, but Pujols is definately dangerous to pitch to. I'm 5-6 against the Cardinals this year, and Pujols has played in 10 of the 11 games.

Here are his numbers:

12-39

.308 BA, 5 HR, 10 RBI

Yeah, he's a tough out. If he's not drilling a pitch into the ozone layer, he's at least clutch with men on base.

The Cardinals have turned the tide against me. I pretty much had them in my pocket until here recently. Not only does Pujol's kill me, but Rolen and Eckstein are hell at the plate too.

Edmonds is on the DL, but Preston Wilson has filled in nicely. He's hitting the ball hard, and all over the field.

I have a feeling this series isn't going to be pretty.

Thanks rick. It seems like I'm taking 2 steps forward, 1 step back, 1 step forward, 2 steps back.

Or something like that.

Either way, I'm 5-5 in my last 10, and I can't seem to get over that hump. I need some help from some other teams, and I'm not getting much right now.

What can you do JR? If it's any consolation, the Cubs are leading the NL in my dynasty, I have yet to post any standings. I actually may work on that tonight. The Cubs have a four game lead I believe over me for home field advantage.
