What's been your worse loss?

I just got the **** scrapped out of me by the Dodgers 16-3 (I'm the Brewers doing quite well this season). Everything went wrong, my star young pitcher went horribly sour, I even injured their starter Mark Mulder in the second inninga nd I still got owned. Worst of all is that the umpires were so bias it actually got me yelling at the screen. Inconsistently calling pitches strikes and balls when they werent, all against me.

Sorry, needed to vent.

So anyways whats been your worse loss and why?

I had Jim Abbott take a perfect game into the 8th against me and the 1994 Whitesox yesterday, fortunately my rookie right-fielder Michael Jordan hit a line-drive double to break it up and score his first major league hit.

Still went down 13-1 though.

Just happened a couple of days ago during my current Mariners Dynasty.

13-0 loss. @ Kansas City, no less. Whatever I did, they had an answer. Even the balls I threw on purpose were at times hammered for HR's. After that game, I had to stop playing for that day. However, I was able to answer that with 5 wins out of the following six games.

Well, for sheer blow out factor it would be the 16-2 drubbing the 'Stros gave me in Houston.

Or for worst in my mind (this was in MVP04, if I remember correctly) Mulder had a perfect game going in the bottom of the 6th and Roy Oswalt of all people homered. Mulder didn't allow a hit the rest of the way, but I never scored, so the 'Stros won 1-0.

My worst loss was 19-1. I was the Mets playing the White Sox. Glavine started the game and the Sox quickly put 8 on the scoreboard. The beat-down consisted of extra-base hit after extra-base hit. None of my relievers did any better. Heilman couldn't put a pitch over the plate, so he quickly loaded the bases. I left a slider over the middle of the plate (even though I let the meter go a low as possible, aiming for a pitch around the knees)and Crede slammed it to right-center. I brought in Sanchez and Mota, neither was effective. The game seemed like took an hour to play.

Last week, in my '07 dynasty (though '08 season) the Kansas City Royals, of all teams to get dominated by, hit absolutely everything I threw at them. They had scored 18 runs through the first 3 innings, and I ended up losing 22-3. I was the Red Sox.

Back when I played MVP 2004, Al "Meatballs" Leiter was on the mound for me agains the Marlins. He gave up like 8 runs in the first. The rest of the bullpen gave up even more. I think I lost by 22 runs.

1-0 Game 7 of WS with a walk off homer. 10 inning special by David Wells (old roster a while back)... there is no way to gloss it up... I still think about it.

i NEVER lost, i just quit when i'm losing/ERA too high etc and i restart:P

Well good for you, but whats the point of playing the game if you always win? Theres no challange and youre essentially wasting your time playing if you already know the outcome for you will be a win no matter what.

Yeah - I totally agree with that one. Losing makes it more realistic. No team is going to go 162-0 in a season. It's virtually impossible.
