UncleMo
I'm looking to really change the experience I get. I want a first person view while pitching only, not fielding or batting. This has been done in the past where the view during batting was in first person, but it left the user not being able to swing at anything since you couldn't see where the ball was landing. I would like to try this game out as if I were the pitcher. You know, like those games that have career mode. Any taker$?
Homer
i like this idea. i wish i knew how to help.

Trues
Who's the datafile expert around here? Trues? No, I'm definitely no expert. I'm a hack.
UncleMo
lol. If you don't wanna do it I'll be cool. I think this view would be freaking awesome if it were added to Maddies Daddy or your datafile, or heck, the default one.
Homer
Trues, if you're a hack, then a guy like me has no chance at ever understanding it. all i know is your datafile for 07 was pretty dang cool.
Trues
Here's a quick try at it.
philliesphan18
So what is it like? All of a sudden you see a white ball hurtle onto your screen and fly toward the plate!

Darkslide820
Could you make it so that if you do Satchel Paige's motion the view starts swingin' around and gets you all dizzy?
DJEagles
I just downloaded, and tried it out. I like it a lot...the only problem I have, is you can't see the pitch meter.
Gordo
What about this WS98 (Genesis) batting view?
Trues
I just downloaded, and tried it out. I like it a lot...the only problem I have, is you can't see the pitch meter. Yeah, it depends on which overlay/datafile combo you're using.
abhall
What about this WS98 (Genesis) batting view? I've made that batting view before. I think it's similar to the World Series Baseball old arcade game. ?? Doubt I'll be able to find it, but I'll try again this weekend.
UncleMo
Trues, and you said you're no expert? What's up with that. I am literally trying this out TO, NIGHT! TONIGHT BABY! :stickman:
MarlinsMS_35
Well is it possible to for say, "mount" the camera on the .ebo so it follow the pitchers head back and forth, and his eyes as the ball hurdles to the plate. I know it's possible somehow, because how does the game follow the ball then? A thing like this with batting would be sweet too.
forn03
It's strange to me that they would take out the batting-eye view since they had it in previous games (back in the TP days). Guess people didn't care about it that much.
TwentySeven
Is it also possible to make a first person hitting view? That could be pretty cool too.
compmaniac
Is it also possible to make a first person hitting view? That could be pretty cool too. On the first page of the thread, somebody said that it would be very difficult to see where pitches were going.
Homer
very interesting. is it possible to make a view from the ball? sounds stupid, i know. i'm just curious.
compmaniac
Wouldn't that be extremely dizzying, if it were possible?
Hocking
There is a file in the Downloads section titled "s Aerial Fielding Cam". This file includes a First Person Pitching view, and a First Person Batting view, along with a couple of other views as well. I installed it at one point with MVP07, and both First Person Views seemed to work fine. I didn't keep them for long however. I really enjoy Trues Datafile V1.4, so that is what I use. Thanks Trues.
